Javon Walker just got 50 million over six years, with 16 million guaranteed over the first three years..... Moss just got 3 years 27 million , with 15 million guaranteed over the same three years.

he also made Gibril Wilson the 3rd highest paid safety in the NFL.

The guy has lost it.... You cant change head coaches every few years, and give bums massive chunks of the cap and expect to win! I think AL Davis has honestly lost it, seriously his drive to win is ruining that team for the future.

didn't they just refuse to pay porter 15 million and then pay Walker this 16 million?   ::)

They overpaid, but I'd rather have Walker than Porter.  Walker is an injury risk, but the last two healthy seasons he had were excellent:

04:  89 for 1382 and 12 TDs
06:  69 for 1084 and 8 TDs

Definitely gave him too much money though.

Committment to excellence became a joke decades ago. Since he's the owner nothing will change until he dies.

On a visit to Oakland a few years ago i saw a huge sign along the highway, "committment to excellence" which they still use without embarassment.
