I am in favour of having bodybuilding in the olympics.
-
Haha. You have to be an athlete to compete in the Olympics. Back of the bus for you. ::)

Zero.
-
I'm in favor of it. Why not? It would be a great way to clean up the sport...to an extent. I know that the olympians always get around the drug tests, but I don't think they would be able to get around it to the extent that an O type competitor would need to.
-
I'd like to see powerlifting in the Olympics first.
-
Negative.
"Opinion" events such as figure skating and bodybuilding are too corrupt. All events that are scored on judges opinions instead of actual stats and accomplishments should be demonstration events only. No medals.

i really don't see how equestrian (which is basically a horse show), the above or synchronised swimming should be there.
-
No way. That's like making miss america an olympic competition.
"how hard did you train for the Olympics?"
"An hour a day."
Miss America competitors train harder that that. Modern bodybuilding is fucking pathetic.

i agree powerlifting should be in, but the question is, should all the support gear be allowed also? in my humble opinion i say go raw 8)

Probably raw...although both would be nice since they are so different.
But if the other weightlifting events are un-equipped, then un-equipped PL should be added as well.
-
No.
Never. It is to subjective of an art.
-
No, because there is no real sporting aspect to it, it's more akin to a pagent or modeling contest.
Powerlifting would be a nice addition, but I doubt we'll ever see it, as there is the drug problem(same with bodybuilding), the supportive gear problem, and too much segmentation in the sport. It stood a better chance years ago of being included than it does now.
-
I agree with BB power lifting should be in the Olympics and replace figure skating.

It (natural bb'ing) got close at one stage a while ago. Though i don't really ever see it making it these days. Too much steroid attention going on today. You never know though...

I agree that the Olympics is starting to allow all kinds of stupid events but does it really need a 'guy walking around and posing in trunks' event?
There is no reason to have the drug addict flex for the crowd and call that an Olympic Sport..it's a male beauty pageant and fuelled by vanity. You don't have the Olympic Miss World - no justification for including bbing imo.

you like it raw don't you..
tell us what you about about taking it "raw"

quad sweep on that guy on the left is devastating to those other chickenlegs

I guess baseball and softball are not a sport, considering that the Olympics have taken them out starting in 2012 (the London Olympics). It was a dream to have bodybuilding an Olympic sport, but alas, it is not going to happen at the moment.

I think they (AAU) tried to petition the Olympic committee to make bodybuilding an olympic "sport" (oh brother ::)) about 25 years ago but it didn't fly for one reason or another.
With the rep bodybuilding has now with the drug use, poor conduct of many of the pro's (G4P, felons, etc, etc, etc) they wouldn't even take a glance, add this to one more reason of what bodybuilding has become. 25 years ago at least they considered it, now...............

I totally agree, why isn't it? It is so similar to Olympic Weightlifting you'd think it would have made it in years ago.
