Title: Melvin Anthony?
Post by: divcom on March 06, 2008, 02:25:36 AM
How old is he?  Once again...he didnt live up to anything.  He has 1 Pro win and 1 good O finish and that's it.  Since he comes from the John Brown camp with Ray...why isnt he working with Shawn?  Flex won 3-4 shows including an Arnold when he worked with Ray.

He doesn't work with Shawn for the same reason everyone else avoids Shawn.  All he has to do is nail his conditioning.

And when he was listening to shawn...he won his USA pro card, with great conditioning, his best to date. Richard Jones, listened to Ray as well.

SIZE,SIZE,SIZE,i agree when there amateurs they look great, but pro size is needed to make any impact.look at any guy say yates and nasser when they crossed the line to new size they literally morphed and said goodbye to there old look.money and good sponsors is what takes it to the next level.

How old is he?

I'm guessing 38-39, maybe older.

i am sure melvin is 37, around the same age as dexter...
he looks great when he nails his condition but he can only really do that once every 2 years or so....
and he needs a new posing routine, he seems to do the same thing time and time again, while kai is coming up with something that is going to blow him out of the water soon... with him placing so shit at the ASC i dont see how he can go that well as the O, when kai and phil so it this year and branch will be looking good. Melvin will drop down to as low as 10th or so at this years O

Problem is, he has the same problem as Flex, He looks better at a lighter weight. Even Dex said that Melvin needed to stop coming in so heavy. Mel's back looked watery at the ASC. I know that he can do better and get dry, but he was 240, he needed to be 235 and hard as nails, nothing less. You see what happen to Phil when he slipped.
