Are you implying that the hundreds of IU's/cc's he's injected all for a few photos in the gym were a complete waste???

That is Robert Piotrkowicz from Poland. He won the Elite Class of over 16 competitors; he was the easy winner with size to rival most of the competing pros'. The winners from all the amateur classes competed for money in the Elite class.
