I used to take small amounts of various roids , from '83- '86. I had done my first contest in 1978 and had a good base of muscle before I started useing them. The amounts I used were quite small and very moderate. The did enhance my cuts and raw muscularity more than my size , at least that was experience.
In 1987, I no longer saw any sense in taking drugs just to stay active in my hobby of bodybuilding.
I competed in NON-tested NPC shows from 1987-95 without any drugs. I knew I was not going pro doing this, but I figured I was not going to be Mr Olympia even if I took roids.
I noticed something ironic started to happen when I competed in shows against guys that were on the juice. I began to get a real kick out of matching up and even beating guys that were on the juice.
Obviously, I didn't win every NON tested NPC show I entered, but I did pretty well at local and regional events as a natural bodybuilder against guys that guys that used.
I never said much about it. But I did find it kinda funny,how a lot of guys at contests would quietly pull me aside and ask me what I was useing to get so wide. I would smile and say; " I stopped useing anything back in 1987, I just diet and work out hard on my back and delts."
Many times, they would look a me with this "yeah right" look and walk away.

I never knew Howie competed, now that I know, and he has posted plenty of pics of his current physique, he should post some from back in the day.

Hate ? Where ? Instead of following Chris from one Thread to the next, I think it would be in your best interest to just Pm him. How is this coming across as " hate " ? ???
I know it's hard ( perhaps, just for you, Chaos ) , but try staying on topic when you go into someone else's Thread ... just my two cents. Sorry for the " hate ", bro. :D

I have plenty of them , but hey are old school reg pics and not on disc, so I have to scan them to get them on my cpu. I had Bix post a few from my best shape years ago. I don't have a scanner and don't think my physique was all that great anyway compred to a pro.
