Title: My old friend doning some benchpress
Post by: Julio Ceasar on March 20, 2008, 03:06:46 AM
430 pound @ 220lbs bodyweight. I think he is a genetic freak, have always been strong like that. And I can guaranty to 99% he is drugfree. He have been tested several times and it have never been a problem. Even if he not train for several months he can always come back and press around 400pounds.

Call me ignorant or whatever but by arching the back upwards isnt the guy shortening the distance from the barbell to his chest?
So instead of the bar travelling all the way down with arching the distance is cut in half

Looked good to me for a gym lift!!!! Very strong and pretty decent form other then slightly lifting his ass. Does he compete in the bench? And yes I'm a powerlifter :)

Yes, arch = shorter range of motion = more weight on the bar.

it's an exaggeration to say "the distance is cut in half" but yes the distance is lessened somewhat by arching, you still have to be VERY STRONG to get a triple with 435 no matter how much you arch.
