Yeah that pretty much sums it up.  Calculate how many calories you need for MAINTAINING your current weight and then cut maybe 300-500 cals off that.  Also workout with your few weights but do higher reps.

you can eat less calories but you'll just get lean and not cut. you should still with your weight training, in terms of intensity and most important don't lighten the weights with higher weights. when you lose the body fat. you muscles will get toned and not be full.

diet and cadio- you have do to cadio in the morning or after your workout. those are the key times b/c your body has little levels of carbs. you have to eat with clean calories.

dont count calories. count carbohydrates, fats and proteins.  it might seem like the same thin. but it is most definitely not.

your personal metabolism has a set rate at which it burns glucose, fatty acids, and at which it can utilize protein.    if you eat every three hours, eating enough protein to grow at your personal optimum rate, eat just the right amount of slow burning complex carbs, and take just the right amount of efa's...then you should get cut up super quick.

the trick is finding out what works best for you body.
