HOLY SHIT! You think that is VERY IMPRESSIVE? For a guy who is that short and 235-245 off season and is juiced from here to the moon??

Nothing impressive at all about that.

hahahhaa, i love how they throw in all the qualifiers like "650 is nothing for an offseason pro weighing 250, taking all kinds of juice doing this, that and the other" as if 455 or 500 or whatever feels light in your hands just because of that, 455 is still 455 and heavy as shit no matter what you weigh or how much muscle you have.

Ha, most of the elite powerlifters of the 50's- 80's are mere peons compared to some of the well muscled dynamos on Getbig.

455 in the bench is spectacular raw lifting.

You know that the record holders might get 400lbs out of the shirt right? This is a RAW lift we are talking about.

Oh brother what?

Most of the giant raw lifts are done by 300+ pound lifters, if you look at the #220-242 raw records, you'll see that a 455 raw bench still puts you in good standing among the vast majority of elite lifters in the sport. Unless you belong to one of the big powerlifting gyms, you'll wait quite a while before you see a good #455 by a bencher.

You just don't knock out #455 willy-nilly.

:) .

I'll slightly agree with your explanation but all I'm saying is there is usually 1 ort 2 guys per gym that can do that.

455 lbs bench is impressive for any bodyweight. I've been to a variety of gyms and the average most guys train with is 225 and the heaviest one rep about 365 for some of the stronger guys.

any time you bench damn near double your bodyweight that's sick....and to have more respect for that kinda weight..try getting under it. The weight doesn't care what it lands on..your face or the floor either way it's going to crush  your ass if you don't respect it. I love how people even think mid 300's to 400's isnt' a big bench..yet they can't even unrack it.

From your prospective I can understand how 300+ maybe a lot ,but from someone's prospective that can bench 4 plates for 12 reps that kind of weight will not be impressive.

The heaviest I have ever gone is 315 for 2 and I can't feel it in my chest just shoulder friction.  I am 205 and 225 to 275 hits the chest perfectly.

i know a grand total of ZERO, the most reps i've ever seen anyone get with 405 in person was 10 by a Samoan dude who trained at my old gym, probably could have done 12-15 but always stopped at 10 then did 455 for a few and then 5 plates for 3-4.

ive' got a client right now who benches it for 5 reps and smokes 455. So I have an idea myself. The only guys I know that can bench like that are the same guys you know and the rest of us know! Kennelly, Wilkerson Wolfe, etc. all top names in the sport. There is no way you could ever bench like that and NOT be known or talked about somewhere.

Haha did I ruffle your feathers "Biig Guy"?

Well considering Squad is nearly 275lbs body wt. and has a MAX of 365 on the flat bench it is no surprise The Biig Guy considers 405 to be an EXTREME amount of weight.

Who here thinks that a 5'7" guy who weighs 240 in the off season and is on Enough gear to open up a pharmacy , would consider him w/ a 455 MAX BENCH as EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE?

DO you Magoo? DO you Panda?

I am only benching right now on decline and incline. I am staying away from flat for the next three months. If you want I'll do 405 for 12-14 on the decline, granted decline is a lot easier then flat. I would need another 7-10 days to prove this to you chaos.

Very good 1 repper on the CGBP

Not to be a dick, but judging by the way he looks (decent but not outstanding muscle mass) and his strength, I'd say he's built more like a "strength athlete" than a "bodybuilder"....
