Disgusting!  :P Especially the thing with the jumping maggot larvae or whatever they were.  :-X

One of the ex-mods here swore Balut was a delicacy!  :-X

Upon pain of death, if there HAD to be a choice, I would go with either the ant eggs, or dining off the sheep's head.

I like watching Andrew Zimmerman he is funny as hell and eats anything.  So far the only thing he couldn't eat was Duri (?sp).

My boss was telling me he had balut last time he visited Manila. He loved it. Then again: he's of chinese parents, so he would eat anything. :)

Hehe, I have a Chinese friend and have tasted some interesting dishes. :)  Balut is basically cooked duck fetus though from what it says.  I think you eat the whole thing, feathers and all.

Where's ozmo?

What about an American favorite like cowboy caviar? Rock Mountain oysters? Yum.  :)

Escargos also look as bad as some of those examples given, but they taste incredible!
