I attended the mefit 2008 Middle East Health & Fitness Summit in Dubai Aviation Club couple of Days ago
they had a lot of lectures on how to be a succeful PT
training, nutrition
but all for general health and fitness (that where the money is
not bodybuilding)
An equipment and supplement (EAS) expo was held in the Garden of the club
n nothing like FIBO
but it is the best in the region
and over 22 lecturer and trainer were invited to do the theatrical and practical training for the audience
it was a great experience to have something like this in the Gulf region.
anf the subject of obesity in adults and children were discussed and the solutions to avoid that

also met up with Brain Deeds the founder of Performance Education Systems who was very well updated on the nutrition for health and common athletes
he had the best presentation material among all of the presented
I also got couple of his CDs
The ULTIMATE Guide To Athlete Nutrition and The Structure and Function of Skeletal Muscle
very educational and beneficial

Too bad bodybuilding has nothing to do with health and fitness!

Its hard to market bodybuilding
if you dont get a person who is actually a bodybuilder its pretty hard to convince an average Joe to become so
however fitness is more marketable and everybody wants to look good
so thats where the money is actually

Has anyone here seen the Drug Laws in Dubai? CRAZY SHIT!!! I was reading wear a guy got off the plane and had a poppy seed on his coat from his sandwich on the plane and he got arrested for possesion of a controlled substance. Since poppy seeds can be used to manufacture drugs. Got 4 yrs for it.
Automatic 4 yrs for 1st offense and even if you dont have drugs on you if they are in you it is possesion. I would hate to see how many top BB's would get popped as soon as they got off the plane??? But then again are AAS legal there?
