does anyone think houston alexander is done.. :o KOed in 8 secs. you have got to be kidding me
-
i kind of hated to see diaz win also. the other dude deserved the win..i mean he had him beat in the first round.

Hype meets reality.

He had that surprise factor, now fighters know what to expect from him.
Dude has a weak ass chin, even Jardine stunned him before he got careless.

I disagree. Kurt is phenominal and for Nate to have withstood all that and lock in a triangle was awesome. Very entertaining display of jiu jitsu from both.
Nate Rocks.

How could Alexander not have seen that superman punch coming? Irvin had'er cocked for quite a while before he fired. Terrible (by pro fighter standards) reflex ability on the part of Alexander. Disappointing.

Brawlers are never thinking about strategy, they are only thinking about getting that next hit and they are willing to plod forward right into on coming traffic to get it. Brawlers have to be close and they are willing to eat a few, particularly if they are absolutely certain about their punching power. This kind of strategy, if you want to call it that, is fun to watch but not very good if a fighter wants to stay out of trouble. The problem arises when your opponent figures out your timing and can avoid punches.

Left his chin hanging out there, ate the punch and was definitely OUT.

alexander should have gotten a do over ;D

he never had him beat ...but he was in trouble for sure. just shows how tough the kid is. i think he has great skills in the ring and great patience. i like him and hope he continues to do well

Houston is a cool cat. I caught up with him during his training a few days out. I photographed the show and this was a shocker to all. I like Houston but the ref made the right call. His next fight will show us if he's the real deal in the UFC with two impressive wins and now two loses.
Check out some photos and video from the training and weigh-ins at:

i honestly felt bad for alexander. i mean he has the record now..or close to it for fastest knockout in the ufc :-\ but i also think about how he acted when he knocked out jardine and i wonder if he didn't have this one coming. he is strong and powerful but i just don't know if he belongs here now. i guess time will tell
