Title: The Olympic Torch fiasco

What a sad state of affairs the torch procession has been so far. It's being nothing short of a massive PR disaster for the Chinese Government, the IOC and any country that supprted China hosting the games in the first place. Protest have already started in San Francisco (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,347510,00.html) before the torch has even arrived there lol.

Seeing the torch making it's way through London and Paris surrounded by the police and Chinese thugs security whilst protestors try and grab it makes a mockery of the Olympic ideal, and embarresses all concerned.

Oh, and the French police on roller blades  ;D

It's getting pretty bad too. Tomorrow my route is exactly where the Torch run begins. :-\ I'm getting there early, so in case they search my truck or whatever else could happen, happens. :(

pubicity and press coverage for the olympics is starting to take off so the protesters are coming out and will continue to.
as long as it doesnt get violent i have no problem with it.

do you guys think it will continue...or possibly get worse? and do you agree with it?



also do you think it will grow, and countries will actually boycott the games(besides the opening ceremonies)?

personally i think a few smaller countries will boycott but i dont think any major players will. i dont think people want to run the risk of pissing off a country thats booming and has big finacial ties?

will be interesting to watch the next couple years.





oh and the olympic comittee is fukin crazy to give china the olympics to begin with

I think China never should have been considered.

  They ship tainted products, are assholes to animals, are assholes to people.


   The country in general is an asshole country.
