Amazing strength:
-
I like the suspenseful buildup to the dead lift.
-
The most impressive thing is he managed to complete the lift with that awful fucking music in the background!! ;D
-
How much was that DL?
-
I remember that dude from Mayhem. Had an opinion on everything and was always willing to share it. If that's him, he's put on some weight... He was really skinny in the last pic I saw of him.
-

haha, that first lift was done on christmas day. believe it or not, that scream after the deadlift is the RADIO, not someone in the gym.

510. i was also probably 260 when i did it. i recently got 515 at 229. my pull's been real fucking stagnant for the past year. :-\ but hey, considering i lost 50 pounds (i know it's only 30 there, but i WAS 270 and got to 219), i'd say i'm doing all right.

Yeah, lol. I would have probably just edited that out. Which brings me to a problem I have when getting my lifts filmed - I do the lift too soon without mentally focusing enough on the task at hand. In the future I will just prep myself mentally and edit the buildup time in the completed clip. I will be able to lift a little more if I do so.
I'll be posting more clips as I continue to review supplements and hopefully will be at Zach's level eventually. I just finished using NO-XS by Higher Power yesterday and will finalize this review tonight:

Final Grade = C.
I look forward to now using Syntrax Nitrous (http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1881271-10409943?url=http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/syn/nit.html) starting today and will keep everyone updated on how that goes.

Good job, dude.
thanks man. i think i oughta hit the cardio again. might do that in about 10 minutes here.
funny thing is that my bench is way up (350 with a mega arch then, 365 flat-footed now), while everything else is creeping slowly.
-
I am in awe of Zach's strength!
-
Zach and Layne Norton as well as a few other notable drug free trainees demonstrate what I believe is close to what a human being can achieve without drugs. Take Layne's 615 pound sumo deadlift for example - exactly how much stronger can a person get? Their lifts also give me something to aspire to because drugs are out of the equation. It is such an extraneous variable when pros use drugs because you are left to wonder what they would lift without them. Zach and Layne show that you can put up big numbers drug free and give a goal to aspire towards.
-

Clarification: exactly how much stronger can a person drug free lifter get? Especially those who are not training as powerlifters.
-
NICE VIDS MAN! I KNOW YOU'RE STRONGER THAN THAT!
just gotta light that fire inside ya.. ;D sick lifting bro as always
...and dammit man PICK UP THAT FUCKING BARBELL ALREADY!!! ;D ;D

I'm a lifetime natural and my best DL was 5 reps with 540 at a bodyweight of 215. How much would that work out to, for the 1 rep max?

Do you think that is realistic? My sad attempt at 410 is not indicative at all of my strength, honestly, I should have done 475 with that same form, so a clean 510 is my goal and I bet I get there sooner than later. I just can't believe how horribly that lift went yesterday.

It is very possible and I have trained in heaps of gyms in 3 different countries for years each time to know I'm nothing compared to some of the other freaks out there, lol ! I'm 31 and I know I have at least 20 lbs to go on my legs to make them comparable to my upper body (I didn't start training them till I was 22 or something due to an ankle injury from long ago). So yeah, I think I can do it. But my bench and squat are nothing special, although my shoulder's not too bad either.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!? ???
/i'd laugh except my place played 'it's raining men' the other day.....wtf!

Fixed.
Sounds like my university gym's selection of music. :-\

Damn bro that's an incredible lift for your BW. Projecting 1RM's for the DL are hard for a number of reasons, but that being said I'd say that with a bit of training to acclimate your CNS to progressively bigger weights, you could hit 650-675 without much problem if you're able to handle 540 for 5.
-

I'd say you're doing a lot better than just "all right". Besting your previous best lifts after losing about 20% of your total BW is pretty damn impressive I'd say.
-
MG is one strong "burly" broskie ;D

i hear that... usually someone yanking a particular weight for 5 reps is only good for about 30-40 more lbs on a single... deadlift is a hard one to pick for sure.
BUT I'm pulling 635 for 3 no problem and am right at 700 according to alot of people. I smoke 675 off the floor and do reverse banded deads with 765 with 90lbs off the bottom so here's hoping. If someone is pulling mid 500's for 5 I'd give them close to if not right at 600 for a good guess.

Matt a few years back The Beef used MetRX Creatine monohydrate, it was great. Then use a pre mix ( MT ) it was shit. You have any advice on a good product along the MetRX lines?
Also what is the best fat burner for someone wanting to avoid T3

Zach (Magoo), do you compete?
-
Hey Maggot! You should have come for the arnold weekend and taken part in some of the lifting events around the expo!
-
Zach (Magoo), do you compete?
i keep trying to hit meets, but things come up. i'm aiming for an ADAU meet which is raw and drug tested, from what i've seen i might not do THAT badly if i get down into the 220 weight class (not too hard since i'm 229 now). i'm definitely not strong enough to be a 242, and no way in hell my 6'2" frame is gonna make it to the 198s.
columbus, dude i wanted SO damn bad to make it, but i couldn't get off work and i needed the money to pay off a speeding ticked. now i gotta drive EXTRA fucking careful 'cause the trooper was a bitch and gave me 4 points on my license. gah. >:(

How many natural guys have you seen pull 700? Take a look at powerlifting comp results, even in the juiced feds, and see how many hit 700+. Yes, 700 as a natural and fairly lean (i.e. not a 340lb lardass) = freak.
Take a look at drug tested comp results, IPF for example, and see what the best pull in your weight class with a suit on (which may add a lot, especially in sumo).

Kiwi's a genetic freak, so I wouldn't worry about it. He could hit 700 with some specialized training.

he 'claims' to deadlift 540 for 5.
and now your giving him 700 with some specialised training?
you could stick with discussing something you might know a little about, fatman, but i doubt any of us would find what the menu at arby's is offering of little interest.
fuck your dumb.

Why do you reply to every post I make? Seems a little creepy TBH.
Anyway, why don't you try hitting the gym occasionally. Once you get enough experience and can throw around some heavy iron, then come talk to us. :-*

I heard no one attempted to deadlift 135 once, but his sports bra snapped and threw him "out of the groove".

Cheers mate. I've done 765 rack lockouts starting just above my knee level for reps of 4 - 5 with holding the weight at the top for 5 seconds. For sure there's a huge difference between doing it off the floor and a rack, but my sticking point is the first few inches off the floor and I know that'll improve when I bring my legs up. I think 700 is very possible cause I'm only 31 and have a bit of time to go, just like I think a 21 inch arm is possible (around 12% bodyfat).

When I did 5 with 540, I was 215 and about 14% BF, give or take. I think 700 is possible cause I know I'm nowhere near my limit. I've been lifting on and off for nearly 20 years now.
ahahahaha

You might be able to do it but it would be a major accomplishment to do it drug free. Most of the ones who get to that level are naturally very big guys with big bone structures. There aren't many guys in the world who can do it at the projected 235lbs (if you put on another 20lbs).

wow.

here's a tip, strongman- most people work out to not be 215, unless they are skinny and pathetic to being with, then thats a reasonable goal.
congratulations on mediocrity.

I have some Higher Power NO-XS 3000 which I will try out and see how that goes.

Amazing strength:
wow three freaking reps on the bench.

hahaha, that wasn't my best vid. if you want to poke around in my youtube account you can see a MUCH cleaner set of rep-outs with 225, one hitting 23. i've got one of me pause-benching 315x3 but it's kinda shitty and i don't know if i want to have the getbig champs tear me a new one. ::)
