Title: What constitutes HARD WORK???
Post by: Pollux on April 10, 2008, 03:13:49 PM
The amount of hours worked OR the type of work?

I'm going with the type of work.

Life is hard work, which ever way you choose to do it.

Definitely the type of work. I have worked 10 hour days before and posted for 9 hours and 45 minutes.

I say the same as danielson except for the posting part there's many times I have nothing to do but need to be there

Life is hard work, which ever way you choose to do it.

Life is only as hard as you make it for yourself

Did you not yet realise that you are creating even harder work?

Have you not yet figured out that w8m8 is a man in drag?  Go figure how much "work" that is.

I'm going with amount.

Long hours at physical labor, (or some repetitive work) = back pain, other health probs, not great pay/bitterness feeling inside.

Long hours at brain labor, (creative, sales, etc.) = burned brain/empty well syndrome, disillusionment, loss of humaness, heart attacks

Shorter hours at physical labor = less health probs, happiness, or at least, more enjoyment of life

Shorter hours at brain labor, (creative, sales, etc) = better product/result, more human satisfaction/sense of accomplishment, less heart attacks

There's a reason CEOs go on lots of golf trips, and why even middle management emps get to go on perk trips where pleasures are inexpensive.

Your work is your God.  It's up there.  And it's extremely hard.

You seem to be able to put more sentences together as each day goes on.
