The lady called 911 cause she was punched in the face at her home by her cousin. She eneded up getting arrested taken to jail, had her clothes ripped off her for no good reason by 7 men and women, was left naked in a jail cell for 6 hours. After 6 hours they brought her out of the cell with nothing on but a vest and led her naked through the jail. She was originally brought in and charged with resisting arrest but was later dropped. A lot of the tape was some how lost. ::) by the department. She suffered a chipped tooth ruptured disk cuts and bruises from being roughed up. She was never asked to take her clothes off or even informed that they were going to be taken off, not that it would have been lawful anyway. She kept asking or screaming what they were doing. She thought they were going to gang rape her.
Seems that this is a common practice in Stark county as a couple more women have come forward with similar stories.

It depends on the location. Down south (Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, etc) pay SUCKS! But on the west coast and some places in the midwest is good to awsome. Benefits are good to. Hate cops all you want. They arent going anywhere any time soon.

She wasn't being a smartass. She had just been punched in the face as was in need of medical care and probabley wasn't thinking too clearly at this point. They asked her if she had ever thought of harming herself. She asked them if they meant now or ever. According to her the next thing they did was kick her in the back of the knees and she fell to the floor. The cops said they took her clothes off for her own safety. I didn't realize that wearing clothes while having your hands cuffed behind your back was a dangerous situation. ::)

That is because the cop who arrested her claims his video camera was not on until he placed her in the car. (starting to see a pattern here?) There is video of her walking in the station. She was not resisting, just walking normally. The same camera that filmed her walking in the station somehow was not working when they brought her back out of the cell in nothing but a vest. ::)

There was a lot of lost tape. I am beginning to wonder how her lawyer got any of the tape to begin with. Maybe one of the female guards got tired of this shit going on. BTW, near the end of the tape the female guards were told to leave and she was left alone with only two male guards. One male guard hand her arm behind her back (she was face down) while the other spread her legs and bent them at the knee. At one point of the tape the same guard had his hand on her ass.

Speaking of third graders. Well, a little younger, there have been over 30 kids suspended from school in PA alone for sexual harrasment. In one case a 5 year old patted another 5 year old girl on the butt. He was suspended for sexual harrasment. How nice to become a sex offender at the ripe old age of 5.

Stark County Sheriff faces second lawsuit over treatment of woman at jail
Lake Township woman says she was abused; sheriff denies wrongdoing
CANTON Another lawsuit, another denial by the Stark County sheriff, this time of allegations that a second woman was treated poorly at the jail after being deemed suicidal.
The latest charge comes from Valentina Dyshko of Lake Township, who claims jailers forced her to remove her clothes and mistreated her after an arrest two years ago, even though she wasn't suicidal. Her federal lawsuit is the second alleging the violation of Constitutional rights in the treatment of female inmates considered suicide risks.
Sheriff Tim Swanson denies any wrongdoing by his staff. Dyshko made statements that caused jail staff to take suicide precautions, and his office is ready to take this latest case to court, he said.
"We're prepared to go forward with it, as with the other one," Swanson said.
But one of the lawyers representing Dyshko and the other plaintiff said more lawsuits are on the way.
"What we're seeing is a pattern in these cases and a basic disrespect for human decency," said David B. Malik of Chesterland.
DYSHKO'S CLAIM
Dyshko speaks Ukrainian and understands very little English, according to her lawsuit, filed earlier this month in federal court.
On March 10, 2006, she went to the Stark County Jail after receiving a notice from the sheriff concerning a warrant, according to the lawsuit.
The charges, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, were related to Dyshko's home-schooling of her children. They ultimately were dismissed.
After arresting Dyshko on the warrant, sheriff's deputies told her she was suicidal, even though she wasn't, and forced her to strip, the lawsuit says. Until her release three days later, Dyshko claims she had to wear a light, poorly fitting garment that repeatedly fell off her body and was forced to shower in an open area where men saw her.
On one occasion, as Dyshko used the phone, the garment fell off, exposing her body and prompting laughs from male jail staffers, according to the lawsuit.
The sheriff's office also failed to provide a competent interpreter who could speak Ukrainian, and one employee told her "go back to Russia," the lawsuit says.
"How is this justified? It's not," Malik said. "It's excessive, unreasonable and has to stop."
The sheriff tells a different version. A jail nurse interviewed Dyshko through an interpreter who participated in the conversation via telephone, Swanson said. Something Dyshko said during the screening prompted jail staff to take the suicide precautions, which includes removing an inmate's clothing and replacing it with a loose, tear-resistant garment.
The sheriff wouldn't repeat Dyshko's exact words, citing medical privacy, but said the conversation was recorded and a second interpreter confirmed the initial interpretation.
Jailers never made Dyshko shower where she could be seen by men, and if her garment fell off, it was up to her to keep it on, Swanson said.
The sheriff also said he had no personal knowledge of one of his employees telling Dyshko to "go back to Russia."

"anything" meaning, they can't beat suspects the way they used to! I heard this from his own mouth. He said, back in the day, if they ran, you made them pay for it. Now, he says, there's lawyers and cameras everywhere...and they can't "do their job" ::)

The lady called 911 cause she was punched in the face at her home by her cousin. She eneded up getting arrested taken to jail, had her clothes ripped off her for no good reason by 7 men and women, was left naked in a jail cell for 6 hours. After 6 hours they brought her out of the cell with nothing on but a vest and led her naked through the jail. She was originally brought in and charged with resisting arrest but was later dropped. A lot of the tape was some how lost. ::) by the department. She suffered a chipped tooth ruptured disk cuts and bruises from being roughed up. She was never asked to take her clothes off or even informed that they were going to be taken off, not that it would have been lawful anyway. She kept asking or screaming what they were doing. She thought they were going to gang rape her.
Seems that this is a common practice in Stark county as a couple more women have come forward with similar stories.

I agree that there comes a time that you must take a stand eventually when it comes to your rights being grossly violated. When I deal with the police I am extremely nice and cooperative. The last thing I need is a cop feeling threatened by me because of my size. That way if it ever would go to court my attitude would not be an issue as far as not being cooperative.

It's 25K that is wrong. The last contract lowered the starting salary to 25K from 34K. Top pay was increased to 59K from 54K. Get paid little to do a lot. The pay isn't enough just with nonsense you have to deal with NYC itself and not even the people on the street. Talk to those guys who do very "little" for high pay that are going into slums, and buying guns and drugs. Tell that to the families of two detectives who were killed a few years ago during a gun buy. People talk a lot of shit, but how many would have the balls to go do that? I'm guessing few or none.
