living legend... 8)

BOOM!

That tricep looks to be well-rested!

That tricep looks to be well-rested!
Is it the angle or do his biceps look uneven?
-
Looks like 250 pds of crap. Unbelieveable that this mess has been Mr. Olympia for years.... :-X
-
:)
-
Well, I guess he still has to earn money....but that display does not resonate well for him. Not at all.
-
The greatest Mr O of all time, 6 months after retiring:
-
a legend, hard to talk smack but..................... ...
-
mortality is a hell of an eye opener
-
His left leg is half the size of the other :-\
-
Its certainly not good to say, but he may be wearing the shades out of embarassment.....
-
... I'm adjusting the lighting - no other photochopping on these.
-
Stop it! I'm almost puking. :-X
Who the hell benefits from a guestpose like this?? Neither him nor the fans nor BSN...... ::)
Pudzianowski is a strongman and looks 100.000 times better and leaner year round like this "greatest BB of all time", what a joke....
-
Oh come on now...who wants to bash Ronnie? Really. As someone just said, he's a living legend and one of the realest people in the game. I think it's actually refreshing to still see him doing his thing...Ronnie doesn't care...nobody can shake this guy now...he's been to the top of the mountain! He just loves the lifestyle...he loves the whole thing and I get the impression he really does love the fans. To say that he's past his prime is just so irrelevant. Long live King Ron. You remember how Sergio Oliva used to stay swole for years and years after he stopped competing? They do it for so long that it's just what they do. There's a status of legendary attached to Ronnie now that this sport hasn't seen for a very long time and I'm sure that Ronnie in any room would have to humble all in attendance. People just wanna give him praise now and say thanks for the memories.

Exactly!
I mean, anyone could easily pick his physique apart, but it's Ronnie!
Good ol Ronnie "been there done that" Coleman! ;)
-
ouch.. worse by the second. It's like seeing the greatest superbowl player of all time back on the field in a wheel chair.. sure it's cool to see them on there but you just want to politely tell them to roll off.
Time has passed.
-
He was the baddest bodybuilder on the planet for almost ten years. One of the top 5 in history, if not the best.
Past champions would have retired, put the shirt back on, and never taken it off again, to keep the legendary status intact. Ronnie isn't taking that route. In this age of online sales and global marketing, he's still making a ton of $ from endorsements, guest posings, and the promise of possibly competing again.
He's trading legendary status (walking away at the top of his game in 2006) for a big pile of cash. It's every man's right to make that trade-off. Joe Montana should have never suited up and played for Kansas City. But the $10 million (or whatever he made that season) was probably worth it to him. jordan didn't have to come back after pwning the Jazz to leave on top - yet the love of attention, the sport, or money got him to put the uniform back on and play mediocre for a modiocre team.
-
still looks big
remember he is 44
44 - and he hasn't trained in months.
most 44 year old would kill to look that good. Ronnie does it without touching a weight.
-
this goes it show that ronnie will do anything for a buck..
even if it means tarnishing his legacy.
-
Still bigger than anyone on here whos bashing him.......
-
Still big up top but lost alot of leg size. Looks like he is just training to maintain for appearances. I still believe that if he got that nerve problem in his lat fixed, and went all out training and brought 2003 back he could easily win the Olympia.
-
:) :)
How much worse do these people have to get before you morons realize that bodybuilding sucks now?
-
maybe Ronnie don't like benching ;D
-
It is astounding that Hulkster hasn't posted in this thread yet. His love for Ronnie makes Romeo's love for Juliette pale in comparison.
-
How much worse do these people have to get before you morons realize that bodybuilding sucks now?
"you morons" ?
who the fuck are you?
Seriously, stop pretending like you're the next messiah of truth.
And why haven't u gotten run over a by a truck yet, so we can all make fun of you for it? ???
-

Your love for Dorian is far worse.
Long live King Ron.
-
Your love for Dorian is far worse.

Not really. I like both guys the same, and I have no opinion on who would win at their respective bests.
-
44 - and he hasn't trained in months.
most 44 year old would kill to look that good. Ronnie does it without touching a weight.
All from BSN products!
-
His whole left side is messed up
-
He doesn't know when to stop, does he?
He's pissing on his legacy.
-
He doesn't know when to stop, does he?
He's pissing on his legacy.
He's probably making 500k to 1M this year.
I think most people would do it at this point. Lee haney and Dorian would have probably competed/posed past prime if it meant they could make that much $ each year.
-
Maybe BSN wants him to get all fat and soft so that if he comes in at decent condition for the 09 Arnold everyone can rush out and buy Syntha-6 and NO-Xplode.
-
stage 2 plumpoism
sadly he shall never recover...
however ronnie fans like bush fans will never demouth his cock...
ever...
-
I'm surprised they made Ronnie guest pose, after he has taken like 6 months off from training. Take any top pro bber and have them stop training for 6 months, and get them to guess pose, and you'll see how shitty they look compared to when they're in training mode. If Jay took 6 months off he'd be 230lbs!. There's always 2 sides to every story, and the one side of this one is that the brotha has been resting and not training for 6 months!. How do you expect him to look? Do you expect him to look the way he does when he's 315lbs in heavy training offseason mode?? Hell no!, he's taken time off give the guy a break.
-
Yes, he's taken time off and now looks like crap. So why do they want him on stage? and why does he say yes?
Couldn't he be a guest speaker instead of a guest poser? Oh, wait ... :P
-
this goes it show that ronnie will do anything for a buck..
even if it means tarnishing his legacy.
His legacy is already cemented if you ask me. "The Unbelievable" is his legacy, the ways he looked in '98, '99 are his legacy. It doesn't matter what he does now. When you remember Flex Wheeler you remember his best. When you remember Kevin you remember his best. Same for all of them. It's kinda different for bodybuilders than the sports comparison 240 made though. For bodybuilders, their appearance is everything. So it's kinda inevitable that people will see you worse than at your best after you're done...even if it's at an expo 15 years after you last competed in a suit. Or T-shirt. Or guest posing 6 months after your retirement in this case...it's the same thing because they aren't doing now what they used to do. But I don't think it's such a bad thing anymore with the way guys are branching out. Anything goes anymore basically. Look at Arnold. His "legacy" is still unfolding, not in the process of being tarnished. People evolve. People understand that bodybuilding is not the end-all be all of someone's worth. Anymore it's not just about how you did in your prime but how you used your performance on the stage to springboard you into the REAL money. Look at Bob Chick nowadays and he's still considered the commensurate bodybuilding pro at any event he attends; even though he's essentially been "retired" for a couple of years now. I surely don't ever see him going back on stage but I don't think that's an idea he'd like to propagate necessarily. Everybody knows it already though.
-
He looks so smooth yet he still has that crazy thick vein in his bicep.
-
I'm calling a truce..
Skinny little Dorian looks better than that mess. Walk away, boy..
-
Being retired is no excuse for stepping on stage when you look like a pile of shit. ::) I mean, Ruhl is retired for 6 months as well. But when he's booked for a guest appereance he still shows up like he's supposed to. :o
-

seeing these pics of Ronnie guest posing is like watching Willie Mays dropping routine fly balls with the New York Mets. :'(

240...I see what you are saying. But...
I am 44, and, like most 44 year olds, I'd never want to look like that.
Its too much.
He'd do well to scale down...get to about 225 lbs...take it easy on the heart.
And consider his health and extedning his life.
-
I wonder if to the people actually there he doesn't still seem genuinely impressive. His actual aura could go a long way. We should ask someone that's seen him lately if his presence is still imposing. I'm gonna guess that it is. When Ron walks into the room he still owns the place I bet.
-

No problem giving him a break.
However...
Given his absence from training (For whatever reason...maybe laziness?)...he simply should not go on stage like that.
Another Coleman (Ron, not Ronny...yuou may recall him) I'd seen guest pose a few times.
And, I can tell you....there was little, if any, difference in his condition. Always cut like a diamond, whether in a show or guesting.
-
Judging by the fact his arms are smaller at the moment I'd say he isn't training all that hard.
-
he's still the greatest ever no matter what he looks like now.
-
hey dumbass,
the only thing ronnie has "taken 6 months off" is clenbuterol.

"i'm special so it doesn't matter how i look!"

Finally a post with some brains. People can talk smack, but reality is he is still in demand whether he is at his peak or not. And with at least a dozen or more appearances this year at no less then 8000 dollars a pop who would turn that down. He is coming to my city, London Ont. here in June and every single person I`ve talked to makes it seem like its the greatest thing.

Very funny, so I live in a small city....400 000.

The $8,000 # is dubious.

The $8,000 # is dubious.
i agree, probably more like 3 grand plus hotel and expenses covered, still pretty good.
-

was the guest posing thru BSN?
Often, if he's getting 500k from BSN, that'll include 20 or so guest posings.
-
Yes...corrext. Still great money.
I won't forget approaching Nasser at our New Haven Gold's Classic about 10-12 years ago...I asked a few questions...he looked at me, kind of in a haze, and responded:
"I do so many of these guest posings, I don't even know what town I am in..."
He went on to say that he got paid by Weider, and thet the money from the promoters went to the IFBB.
Maybe not the case anymore with Ronnie...he probably gets paid directly from the promoters...
-

The bill is 8500 dollars + exp. Thats alright if you don`t believe. I am close friends with the promotors and this price also includes a seminer for the following day at Golds.
-

I'm guessing a big firm like BSN consolidates all that... He probably gets his monthly check from BSN and doesn't have to handle the affairs of trying to email some deadbeat promoter about getting plane tickets. At that point in his career, you'd think he's have it handled for him.
-
That is great for him.
I will tell you that not many will pay those fees.
I've co-promoted with Mike Katz for many years, and my experience tells me those numbers will prove to be inordinate throughout a wider expanse of the bb world.
-

This is often the case espeacially with Muscletech athletes, however this is not the case with Ronnie because another supplement company is sponsering the show.
-
i remember in Jay's video him making arrangements for his flight and housing arrangements with the promoter on his cell phone while he ate a meal at a restaurant.

Yes, 240. Your words definitely ring true here.
There are some promoters who should not...well...promote.

Ronnie or Jay?
-
Ronnie or Jay?
Jay, but seeing Ronnie is basically at the same level i can't inagine it would be too much different, a guy i used to talk to at my old gym said he picked up Ronnie and took him to his hotel for a show here in town and Ronnie said he got about 3K plus expenses for his appearance, said they went to McDoanld's and Ronnie ate 5 Filet o Fish's. ;D
-
Do any of you guys get the impression that Ronnie is ashamed of himself now? He is awesome. He's the man and he doesn't give a shit. I think it's so refreshing that he would show us that he may actually be human after all anyway. The same way that he'll talk to most anyone, anywhere. He'd probably take you to his house for a minute if circumstances called for it and treat you just like anyone. He's just so real. He still lives in that same house, too. Ha ha. I just think he's so cool. I've had a couple of run-ins with him and he was always awesome.
-
Haha! That's great.
Yes, the highest I have ever heard for a Mr. O Guest Posing was 5k...Mike Katz paid Dorian this amount to guest at the (1992?) Mr. CT.
Dorian had just won the O the previous week....and he was nearly in Olympia condition.
Funny side not: This was the 'Natural CT & Northen States'...and some folks came to Mike and said it was 'curious' having Mr. O at a natural show.
Mike agreed...since then, we usually have the years previous winner of the show guest.
Mike

would you be ashamed if you were THE BEST IN THE WORLD at your chosen field for two years shy of a decade? fucck no, he could be 158 pounds of skinny/fat now and he'd still have the satisfaction of knowing that.
-

Its possible Your friend there got a deal, but believe me thats not even close to his price. Guest appearance Rates start at 2500, of course there are some desperate no name pros that compromise this figure but generally this is the cost. I know there is not that much money in bodybuilding but the guest poser is the main attraction. You are way to low on you figures.
-

I do think he is smart living in a same, modest house...as opposed to living too large and exhausting $ on things he does not need....like many of the lower-echelon pros do driving these outrageous, $100,000 cars and what not....
-
maybe Ronnie has Arod's agent?
-

Well, Ronnie isn't exactly innocent of those charges, either... ;D
At least he made it into Dub magazine with his Bentley though.

Oh, shit...does he really?? :o

So it was not true that those triplets were his? forgive my ignorance....does he have kids of his own or not?

he's got a grown daughter in her 20's and his wife is pregnant i believe.

DUB magazine, founded in January 2000, is a North American magazine covering urban custom car culture and also features celebrities and their vehicles.

Exactly. Muhammed Ali still gets mobbed whenever (less often these days) he makes an appearance and he is a wreck physically and is hardly coherent. He is the man and everyone knows it. When he dies, the story will be above the fold and his obit will be a full page.
-
So it was not true that those triplets were his? forgive my ignorance....does he have kids of his own or not?
Moose, he has two grown daughters. They are sweethearts. One is in college, and I think the other is in high school, I think.
-
you owned yourself with your less than flattering pictures of our fat self.
try cutting back on the donuts
post up a picture and own me if you look better.
-
the only thing ronnie gives a shit about is making money off the fans/promoters.
whether or not he looks like sh*t apparently doesn't matter to him, as long as the $$ keeps coming.

how dare you put muhammad ali in the same league as the GREAT RONNIE COLEMAN!!!
-
Exactly. Muhammed Ali still gets mobbed whenever (less often these days) he makes an appearance and he is a wreck physically and is hardly coherent.
But he doesn't do exhibition boxing matches anymore, does he?
Some people know how to retire with grace. Ronnie Coleman doesn't know how to do anything with grace
-

I think you're being overly harsh. One could argue that Ali did not retire gracefully as he got pounded in several ill-advised later bouts and you could argue that there isn't much graceful in bbing to start with. It is what it is, and Ronnie will always be liked and remembered for his prime rather than this later stuff anyway. Academic.

Here we go with one of those 'I have a friend or I know someone' stories.
I have a friend to who saw GOD!!! I am not lying either. I saw the guy one day and the next day after he saw GOD there was a glow about him that was definitely not of this world. I captured some of the GLOW in a glass jar and I am about to seel it on EBAY. You wanna buy some GLOW?

What's with the football players?
football players all were shocked ;D ;D
-
I mean...I don't know what FIBO is. The FB players...this must have been run in a foreign country, perhaps?
-
Ronnie looked great when he was on top. He looks in these pics shithouse now. If he leaned up anhd dropped a few kg he would look real good. He should retire properly from competitive bb, he keeps up the bulk he wont be long for this world
-
Big Bubba in da house
-
He doest look at his best, but didnt he take off a few months from training at all since the Olympia ?
