it's a Greek recipe, the bottom layer consists of eggplant slices, the middle layer is ground lamb precooked with onion, garlic, chopped tomatoes, and spices and the top layer is a cheese

its ok if you make it right

I saw that shit on Rodehouse on the food network. One old greek lady mixed the top layer of cheese with baby cereal.  ???

mousaka is great - but not ideal bodybuilding fair with all that cheese

The stuff I cooked didn't have any cheese, but not much better.  It's topped with Bechamel "White Sauce" which has whole milk, butter, flower and egg yolks.  No, not a meal you'd want to have regularly.

Maybe this is a clever play on words thread?  I find it impossible to believe that anyone wouldn't have done Greek by now.

I used to love those huge Feta & Cucumber & Black Olive salads, but i dumped the Greek lover.

ouzo in ice cold water (it goes milky and sweet) is one of my fav drinks!
