Title: PPK
Post by: Eyeball Chambers on April 19, 2008, 11:24:35 PM
Any opinions on the Walther PPK as a Concealed Carry weapon?

I know it doesn't pack as much of a punch as some, but....

The PPK was the original 007 gun.
My old man bought one just because of that  :)

yeah nah it's a cool looking gun, especially with that polished finish, if it'll do its job and put down someone trying to hurt you or someone close to you, then excellent, also beats carrying around a hand cannon.

There are better more powerful cc guns out there.  Glock compacts are great and very reliable as are the Taurus versions.  I have a glock .40 cal that is compact and is comfortable, my taurus .45 is very good too and very good price.

But not much worse!  ;D ::) ;D

Considering you can get a Kahr PM9 in a much more potent rnd at about the same size, I would pass on anything .380 these days. Too many great very small 9mm out there now.

Well, no gun is too small and light when you have to carry it around all day and no gun it too big and heavy when the SHTF. You go for the PPK, I will for the hand cannon, and we'll see who is still standing when the smoke clears... Yes, the .22 in your hand is better than the .357 you left at home, so get what you really can and will carry.
