What is it? Some examples...

Interesting question. I also wonder what the #1 aesthetic shot of all time would be?

I agree for the most part, but there have been a couple very nice shots of Casey that I've seen over the years. There's one from the cover of an old (Ironman?) mag, with Casey standing out in a field, hitting a pose, if I remember correctly. That was aesthetic to me. This one here displays near-flawless symmetry. Maybe not as aesthetic as a Nubret, but I'm eager to see others views on what I've posted aswell as their own contributions.

Yeah, I didn't read all the threads, is that really Brewer and did they really pay for that mess on that stage?

If you don't want to read the threads, Coach, here are the pics. As for whether they paid him or not, it was the Ronnie Coleman Classic, a BSN event, so it was probably a BSN thing.

That shot of Nasser is close to perfection, as far as judging a physique on a bodybuilding stage, but it's not the most aesthetic shot of him, in my view. Just something about it...

Here's a comparison, between a photo of Serge and Nasser, hitting virtually the same shot. Which photo looks better?

Looks like he took those pics in Juarez, judging by the shacks in the background. I think someone just happened to be there, and caught a picture of him stretching before he made "a go for it" and swam across to the United States side, to make a better living for he and his family.

This thread went from awesome with all of the old school, truly aesthetic shots (and some humorous ones), to just COMPLETELY f*cking sad.

Was just thinking the same thing...

i've got the perfect example of this in a 1979 muscle builder/power. Danny is on stage with 5 others and is standing forward about a foot from the rest of the lineup. this makes him look like he is the same height and about 350lb. i used to show this to people and tell them he was 300+ lbs. and they would believe it.

Hmm. Your waist has really improved. Not just a hint, but really now accentuated. With your short hair, you resemble the great Toshiro Mifune around 1955. I then joked that you need to work on your scowl/frown like the great one. If you can talk with a growl/rasp even better.   :)

/look at that scowl. classic!

Haha. thanx. When I die, i am gonna visit Kurosawa and make a movie with him. So I am gonna plactice that face. ;D

By the way, yesterday was the contest, the level was like european cahmpionships and i was beaten mercilessly by those super juicers and ended up dead last place. I was not in good shape due to long diet and my muscles are flat as hell. My size were almost equal to them but when it comes to cut and muscle full roundness.........thousa nd lights years away! The guy who took 2nd place in my category told me that he did everything included GH and Insulin. So,  all of them looked like Paco bautista. Litelary they didnt have any skin... Now i know how is the juicing situation of top amateur bbing...Crazy.
