Tommy, Hampton always looked his best in every contest I've even seen him enter. Wasn't too many but in each one he was a standout. And to this day I still can't figure out why he did'nt place higher in most events.

Tommy, that picture of Hampton above was one of his most recent shots so you may not recognize him by that picture. But if you attended or entered contest way back when, he was usually guy with the "entirely different" haircut - once a Mohegan, once bright yellow, etc. That make you recall him better?

Never met him he's been a standout for a long time now.

I've never heard of James Hampton either, but he looked great in that shot.  What's the story there, still competing?

James Hampton won the overall Masters Nationals 2006 for the 50+ age class.

Will there be a Masters Olympia again anytime soon?

Great to see that some of your agree about James Hampton. I've seen him compete and I do know how to judge a contest (many years of experience) but I still can't figure why James was never placed higher. And I do know for a fact that the NPC officials had no reason to treat him unfairly.

No nude magazine work! No NPC animosity! No questionable activity! No failure to pay his NPC dues on time! No verbose accusations of "politicsw".

So what did he lack that I didn't notice?

I do know that he appeared on stage with a radical "haircut" on a few occasions, but I don't think that "doo" caused the judges to place him lower than he deserved.

Most overlooked in my opinion.

S- Even with that unusual description I don't believe I've ever seen him compete. It's possible but that physique and the hair... I'd think I'd remember. Again, a very cool shot of him in this thread.  T-

I did the Masters Nats with Hampton a few times and felt he was overlooked.

Always looked really good.

The only fault I could ever find was that his skin was pale..........looked like a light natural tan with no Pro-Tan applied which hurt him in comparisons.

He now is an IFBB Pro so his persistance has paid off.

Actualy, I have seen Dorian competing two times directly and very near. But Paco was more shredded and harder than Dorian.
I have never seen anyone more shredded than this monster directly in my life.

Thats why he shouldnt have been placed so low.
BBing is Mass, Condition and Shape.
He has two of them. And one is super outstanding.
He should have won Major titles and will never. But shouldnt be placed so low either.

the thing with him was that in those pics you see all the cuts and looks ridiculous, then at the show he looks smooth...plus his legs arent proportionate to his upper bod, he was a poor mans orville burke
