Title: If you are into ties and how they look with a suit...
Post by: Parker on April 25, 2008, 10:02:18 AM
I'm a tie fanatic, got a tie fetish as I was told, and ties that catch my eyes (stripes or patterns) i put on the want list. Here is Bachrach clothing, and they have some off the hook ties

Ties just make my neck feel uncomfortable - the only time I ever wear one is for job interviews, nothing else.

What about if you get the job? You may have to wear a tie everyday then.

I really like pasiley pattern ties. Love dots, checks, and other patterns as well, but don't like stripes.

Great site!

Good site.  Thanks.

I was actually helping someone and her boyfirend had on this tie, I told him I liked it, and after a while I asked where did he get it. He told me Bachrach.

When you think about it ties are a totally unnecessary fashion statement. I think people look better in them and have a preconceived idea of the type of person who doesn't wear one to certain places, but they really serve no purpose.

I get most of mine from Land's End, but your site is better.

I disagree. I recently saw my boss in a polo neck, and he had a forest of thick black hairs emerging from his neck.  When he's wearing a tie, i don't have to see that stuff.

Actually a tie (to me that is) can help "liven up" a sharp suit, such as a black or pin-striped (and the pin-stripes can actually match the tie as well) As long as the tie is not likened to a clown tie or is too ostentatious...One should be able to notice it and get a good compliment, it shouldn't other people's eyes or make them squint.

It can also serve as a statement, on a interview a nice tie, the employer can remember that tie and you. Or the chick that you work with that you are flirting with. For instance, I knew a woman that was very attractive, but always had dudes. Her favorite color was purple, so I had various purple tie and shirt combos, again nothing, ostentatious, but very subtle. She notice, and would comment...and the rest was history...
