I heard Cormier chickened out of the NY show. Can someone confirm this? You guys should ask Lee Haney if he is repulsed by whats happened to bodybuilding since he called it quits.
-
There's your Mr O!
-
I met up with Cormier yesterday at the IFBB Australasian champs, CC has not looked better in years- very low BF for off season and the tricep is fully healed.

Cormier is in Australia? WTF is he doing there? I met him at the Olympia in 1998. I bet my friend that he would win the O someday. I think I lost that one :-\
-
How much did you people pay Lee to come on the show? it is common knowledge that you bribe, blackmail and pay potential guests. Its a tiny itty bitty industry and the word gets spread like wildfire.

Thanks , Howard

No...unfortunately, it's not on the schedule
-
Very quiet week in pro bodybuilding.
Ben White has to back shit up in New York.
Lee haney still the greatest, in case anyone was curious.
Cutler was the most replayed show of the year.
Dexter wanted clarified: "Why did the guys on the board say I was going to be 250 at the show?" and other mis-quotes.
Dexter reads Getbig it seems ;)
Also Dexter didn't want it out there that he will NOT retire after the O.
-
Chick explaining what i said when they had Dexter on last week, Dexter will be 250 OFFSEASON not ONSTAGE.
-
On PBW they gave out Jay's prediction for the Olympia.
1st - He picked himself
2nd - Dexter
3rd - Heath
4th - Wolf
5th - Kai
Top 5 for Kai is serious respect. I guess Jay isn't so impressed by Wolf. Heath in top 3? Talk about putting some pressure on the Gift.
-
sounds about right, i'd put Wolf ahead of Heath but he won't beat Dexter, Jay will win.
-
Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Gustavo Badell, Chris Cormier, Kai Green and more will be guest posing this weekend at the 2008 NPC Pittsburgh Bodybuilding, fitness and Figure Champions and the IFBB PA PRO Figure.
-
Jay will win until he retires or he tears a lat.
-
Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Gustavo Badell, Chris Cormier, Kai Green
Absolutely incredible guest posing lineup.
you shooting that show, LIFT?
-
sounds about right, i'd put Wolf ahead of Heath but he won't beat Dexter, Jay will win.
I agree totally. Jason will have to really fuck up to not get his 3rd in a row. if he comes in as bad as last year then they will have a tough decision.
even Yates would follow up one of his three gifts with a better showing

yes, Jay has too much size, too much thickness and too much width to be beaten at this point unless he really screws up.
-

I won't be there this weekend but will make the trip to New York to see Ben White's epic entrance.

He's gotta win this show.
What's your top 3 in NY, lift?
-
yes, Jay has too much size, too much thickness and too much width to be beaten at this point unless he really screws up.
You don't consider coming in like he did last year screwing up ?!!?
-
Ben White will bench press 1,000 pounds with Aplodan.
-
I think It will Be
1) Cutler
2) Wolf
3) Heath
4) Dexter
I think Heath can improve enough to beat Dexter. Wolf will be too big for Heath or Dexter.
And yes, Jay has too much muscle to get beat.
-
You don't consider coming in like he did last year screwing up ?!!?
yes he was way too soft and was given a gift.
-
I agree totally. Jason will have to really fuck up to not get his 3rd in a row. if he comes in as bad as last year then they will have a tough decision.
even Yates would follow up one of his three gifts with a better showing
even ronnie put a better showing after receiving 2 gifts in 2001 and 2002.
-
I think if Phil is conditioned like Colorado but with the new mass he can take out Dexter. Other than that the preditions seem spot on.
-
even ronnie put a better showing after receiving 2 gifts in 2001 and 2002.
yes. rumors were circulating that he was going to be dethroned but he blew them away that year
-
Does anyone think that Jay can actually get conditioned like 2001? I know he can't go back to that lower weight anymore than Ronnie can go back to 98.
-
Olympia "Gold package" seats are already sold out.
-
Does anyone think that Jay can actually get conditioned like 2001? I know he can't go back to that lower weight anymore than Ronnie can go back to 98.
no he'll never be like that again but he can get to his 2005 and 2006 form again, the 01 Olympia and 2000 NOC Cutler is gone.
-
He's gotta win this show.
What's your top 3 in NY, lift?
Aside from Kai no real clear cut dominant competitor. Top five qualify for the Olympia. Watch out for Ken Jones - he's the sleeper.
1. Kai Green
2. Ronnie Rockel
3. David Henry
4. Ben White
5. Charles Dixon
6. Evgeny Mishin
7. Joel Stubbs
8. Brian Chamberlain
9. Leo Ingram
10. Jason Arntz
-
Did Lee Haney just call Bob , Paul !?!
lol

Predict the Ben White spin if he doesn't take 1st.
My prediction: "My goal was actually only to qualify for the O, and get all the other guys to underestimate me..." which will stall it for another 4 months.

I don't think David will be beaten by Ronny. I seriously think Ben White will bring it and be no lower than 3rd.
-
no he'll never be like that again but he can get to his 2005 and 2006 form again, the 01 Olympia and 2000 NOC Cutler is gone.
This Jay Cutler would have almost no problem winning the Olympia.
-
sounds about right, i'd put Wolf ahead of Heath but he won't beat Dexter, Jay will win.
I agree. Wolf ahead of Heath. Cutler Wins since Victor is out.
-
Wolf is a lot of hype, he has some lagging body parts and needs muscle maturity, something Jay has tons of and no weakpoints.
-
Dennis Wolf will smoke him.
-
good predictions. but, I think Heath will battle the top spot with Jay
-
wolf standing next to heath will show the narrow structure of heath in spades.. heath will standing on stage with wolf and cutler who have great width.. i think heath will be 4th or 5th.. but, he will not beat wolf..
-
Cutlers top 5 can be broken down like this; Dexter second because Wolf or Heath hasn't beat him, actually points indicate at the Arnold that Heath didn't even come close to Dexter and Heath beating Wolf because Jay is best friends with Heath and he has to give top 5 to Kai because he is the most improved.
What I see here is Jay totally insulting Wolf. Wolf in fourth means he didn't move up at all because Victor and Ronnie are out, this is not logical. Wolf is young, has incredible momentum, plus taking a whole year to improve for the Olympia, impossible not to improve on his Olympia appearance. Wolf has a surprise for all.

There's your Mr O!
Classic!

Dennis Wolf will smoke him.
Wolf already smoked Jay and
he made cutler look like a smooth red fridge.
It did not help Dennis placings.
When everybody are making predictions take into consideration
their contracts.
Who will be on the covers just before the big O show?
Who is signed with Muscletech?Weider?
Who will have a team of grapefruits backing him up?
Only coming in with the best body is useless, you cant win with
just a good body, you need everything else, marketability, connections etc.
-
They should give it to the tall man... He's a better interview than Jay Butler too.

Send in the Wolf to take care of the Cutler situation
-
way too early to tell anything, with the new stacks legal and illegal things can change rather quickly positive or negitive
so we need to be way close to the O to really see whats up
-
I would be happy seeing anyone but Jay win again. He should never have been a Mr. O winner. Tied with 3rd worse Mr. O of all time. The other two being Franco and Dickerson.
-
jay has no arms and wide waist, he should never be mr o.
-
Did Jay get these results in an e-mail from Muscletech?
-
I agree with Cutler's predictions, place for place.

He's gotta win this show.

240, it is crazy to ask the "expert" lifestudios his "expert" opinion on show placings, believe me. The dude hasn't got a clue, about show placings or anything else for that matter.
-

My prediction: "My goal was actually only to qualify for the O, and get all the other guys to underestimate me..." which will stall it for another 4 months.
Yes, an i would not be at all surprised if he decides to (predictably) bypass the Olympia to make the obligatory *improvements.*
-
I want Wolf to win...

sounds about right, if they all maintain current condition.
-
Dexter should have won last year and he should win this year
-
jay has no arms and wide waist, he should never be mr o.
id give it to heath or wolfe....Vic if he was healthy

Physiques are 5% of the Olympia formula - the rest if Politics. For those that still don't see it.. look again.

So lets see...that would leave 95% politics. Given your formula, we should see a guy that should be placed between 20-24th....WIN with the right politics in place. I'm sure were bound to see it sooner or later....it's only been what? 43 years?
-
Absolutely incredible guest posing lineup.
Gee, look who the promoter is. ::) Anyone who doesn't show gets dropped 4 places next Olympia.

Yes, Manion's Pittsburgh show always has all the top pros in attendence every year.
