Title: UFC tried to get Rich Franklin to fight Dan Henderson

UFC tried to get Rich Franklin to fight Dan Henderson for a replacement fight for Chuck Lidell, but said he wouldn't have enough time to get ready. I would have loved to seen this fight!!!

I think his preparation included getting ready for his last fight in the UFC...he wasn't mentally prepared for that!

Franklin is lucky that Lutter wasn't mentally or physically prepared for the fight either.

Amen to that.  Lutter had a real high mount, and should have just ended the fight with punches.  The armbar was REAL sloppy.

True, but I think it would be an even worse matchup for Franklin against Hendo.

Ace is a much better fighter ..Period! Ace knew what Lutter  would try to do, and trained for it ! Lutter knew what Franklin was going to do and couldn't stop him .. Get over it gentleman ..MMA is exactly that ,Mixed Martial Arts.. It just isn't about submissions anymore !

thats retarded conditioning is one of the most important aspects to fighting he cant use that as an excuse he should have been prepared..... i never seen lutter in shape i dont think he has the heart or dedication and thats what you need to be a great fighter i hope i never see his lazy ass in the ring again
