"Autopsy results in UA Bodybuilder death released Autopsy results released on Monday indicated a University of Alabama student championship body builder found dead on November 8th died of natural causes. Dan Puckett, 22, was found by his roommate dead on the bathroom floor. Puckett’s roommate said he complained of a pulled or torn muscle prior to his death."

Dan Puckett was the Heavyweight Winner of the 2006 NPC Teenage/Collegiate National Bodybuilding contest. This story barely makes the news when the autopsy finds no result of drug use.
RIP

Define "natural causes" at 22.

22 year olds don't die of natural causes.
epic misuse of the word "natural" in bodybuilding yet again.
-
90 year old people die of natural causes... not 22 year olds.

exactly. if a coroner used that exact term he should be fired.

At least say heart failure which is simply his heart stopped beating.
-
22 year olds do die of "natural causes".. a buddy of mine is a emballmer in st louis.. he sees the reports and talks the coroners ect.. a natural cause can be as simple as a anyuerism.. passing a blood clot.. ect .. those are considered natural causes.. and it happens to young people quite frequently.. had a 19 year old student here in the mid west who went to university and the second month there died in his sleep.. anyuerism.. guess what he coroners report stated.. NATURAL CAUSES..
-
Kid looked damn good.
-
yeah, every now and then, a kid will just have a heart attack or brain attack (stroke).
could be anything. genetic flaw in his heart. a mixture of something OTC that clotted. something that didn't show up/wasn't tested.
Rest in peace.

Why should it? Who the fuck is Dan Puckett? He is about as relevant as anyone walking this earth, I guess when your next door neighbor dies of an aneurysm or a heart attack it should be on the nightly news.
He was an amateur bodybuilder. The local ice cream man has more prestige.

The media made a big deal out of him being a bodybuilder when he died. Now that the news comes back it wasn't from massive drug use, they are no where to be found.

Yes...just like pre-surgery...they ask if you "have any allergies"...I always say..."None known..."
None known, that is, until you are affronted with the noxious substance that gives you the anaphylactic reaction that does you in.,
Hardly excat science, but its the best we got, for now...

OK... Whatever... Ignore getbigs experts.

Natural causes can be a VERY LOOSE definition.
Someone does the "Scarface" routine and snorts an outrageous amount of coke, their heart speeds up and will basically explode from too much shit. But it's called a heart attack on the medical report...the toxicology report will say he had cocaine in his system while the medical examiner will probably report death due to a heart attack.
Like another poster said, I'd like to read the report.

Alright, makes sense. And typical.
