was too dieted down, didnt display the type of musculature as Platz...but he was better conditioned and better lines/proportionality. IMHO it was b/t those too and Roy C.

Don't forget, Dickerson was second in 81 (and 80). But, IMO, Platz and Roy Callender were the two best bber's that day

I've read both 5'2" and 5'3". Funny how 5'6"-5'7" Tom doesn't look all that much taller than Danny in the above pic.

Actually Tom had some of the best guns in the O, they made a HUGE improvement from the year before-with incredible peaks.

I dunno that was a close one Danny for that time deserved it but by todays standards Tom was far superior

I sometimes feel that Tom should have won that show. Then I see some new pictures of Danny & feel he should have won.
With me...it can go either way.

his legs were just so big his upper body would have looked small no matter how big it got.
