PLease....what he was given was a nice 2 year contract making ore money in those 2 years than he most likely would have made in 10 in the IFBB....He made the right choice.

Eddie was contracted for more than the 2 years of the WBF.

Eddie stayed on his contract AFTER the WBF folded as the ICO/PRO supplement spokesperson.

Eddie made more in 2 years with the WBF than Jay Cutler has made from ALL of his IFBB winnings.

Well, financially I can see your point.

Competitively...he was screwed.

The name of the game is getting paid....so I guess he came out on top.  I still would have like to see what his full potential could have been.

"competitively" he screwed himself by never coming in top shape....we all would've liked to seen Eddie reach his true potential.

Eddie was a big guy for sure and incredibly thick and impressive in a shape sense but he had no cuts or detail whatsoever - he used to hold so much water - I don't understand why people are saying he should have won more shows.

Strange! Every magazine and TV show I've seen that featured "Major Guns" had him listed at 5'7".

eddie was a tank, plain and simple he was built for this kinda stuff, just a huge guy.  prolly could have been one of the top guys in the sport going into the 90's but he blew it at the 90 NOC and then went to the WBF...to bad cause he was a machine.

Don't cry for Eddie. He won his first pro show and placed top 10 at the 1990 Mr. Olympia. Then, he went to the WBF and did well there. When the company went south, Eddie was retained to endorse ICOPRO supplements for an extra 2 years.

"Major Guns" claimed it was one of the smartest decisions he ever made, financially, as he made more money in one year with WBF than he would have in 4 years with the IFBB.
