This might be the final straw for the Hilary Campaign. Expect quite a few superdelegates to back Obama tomorrow.
Indiana, the other primary held today, has Hilary up by 30,000 votes, but they haven't counted Chicago/Gary, where Obama is the man.
Results will be in by Indiana. It's very possible the next President of the USA will become the de facto candidate tonight.
-
Obama wins N. Carolina by 14 points!
Lotsa kneegrows there, what did you expect?
Seriously, I don't know why you have such a hardon for Obama. If you look at his policies closely, what little substance is there is old-school left wing. The man's a socialist... just what we fuccking need. ::) As much as I dislike Hillary personally, from a policy perspective I'd take her over Obama any day.
Let's hope "Crazy John" wins in November, or we're all fuccked. :-X
-
I think hilary would handle herself best out of all 3 candidates, to be honest.
I like all 3 of them, and all of them have weakensses, and none of them will screw things up too bad.
-
Let's hope "Crazy John" wins in November, or we're all fuccked. :-X
No, sir - we're all fucked regardless of who gets elected in November.
We're just more fucked if it's Hillary.
-
...none of them will screw things up too bad.
Two of them will *aim* to screw us.
The third is there to hold serve until they can bring Romney back in '12.
-
You are f---ed if you let yourself be f--ced...and it will not end well for her....
-
Hahhahaha....shit Rob, please come out of the closet now as a FULL BlOWN lib. You make it so flippin obvious!!
-
hilary cancelled all appearances on morning TV!
She gave a *victory speech* in Indiana, and with 91% counted, it's suddenly breaking 75/25 Obama, and might be too close to call.
So even with rush sending tens of thousands of voters to indiana to elect hilary, it's coming down to the wire. Without his interference, Obama would have won in a cakewalk.
-
Hahhahaha....shit Rob, please come out of the closet now as a FULL BlOWN lib. You make it so flippin obvious!!
Joe, you can look at our lives, and I'm far more repub than you are.
You can look at our voting records - I'm 100% repub history, you voted Clinton.
The ONLY basis you have for calling me a lib - is that I am completely honest about the flaws of all the parties and candidates, and I am very interested in both the dem and repub nomination races. I've already said I'm voting mccain because I love my guns.
Come to think of it... making a rash judgment on another individual's beliefs without looking at obvious evidence...
YOU sound like this lib here, Joe ;)
-
I did not expect Indiana to be that close...Hillary needed PA-like numbers there. 51-49 isn't really a victory for her.
In NC, Clinton won far more counties than Obama.
Ignorance and Clinton supremacy go hand-in-hand.
-
I'm a 'liberal' ::) for hating George Bush and his band of thugs.
-

He's within 20k votes - and that counts the TENS OF THOUSANDS of Republicans who voted for hilary to cause chaos. The media is already pointing out the Rush factor - that without him trying to cripple the democratic process - Obama woudl have won easily.
-
I'm a 'liberal' ::) for hating George Bush and his band of thugs.
Joe said yesterday that the national debt is "nothing to worry about" and if you don't like it, "move to another country". He's said he expects Bush to lie to us regularly, and prefers it.
So when you're starting a debate, you have to realize you're arguing with someone who will admit no wrong with his own country. He didn't think Larry craig should be kicked out for trying to fck another man in a public restroom. Anyone who will excuse public gay prostitution because "the guy's on my team!"

I admit there is plenty wrong with our country.
I like to mention the postives first.
the media tends to accentuate the negative, and forget to mention the good.

Clinton just cancelled all TV appearances and ALL PUBLIC APPEARANCES!
Earlier tonight, she declared victory in indiana. Now it's going to be too close to call - maybe til all the absentee votes are counted tomrorow or next day. 15 or 20k of them sitting in envelopes still.
Major history moment if she declared victory and didn't win...
-
Republicans will win this election due to the idiots in the democrat party. George bush shouldnt have ever been re-elected in 2004, but the democrats used john kerry as their front runner. Anyone else would have beat bush in 04 as he was already very unpopular then, but kerry sucked so bad bush was able to win
Fast forward 4 years. Most people are upset with how the country is being run. Just about anyone in the democrat party could win this upcoming election over the republicans, EXCEPT a mulatto and a liberal extremist cunnt. Dean, Edwards or just about anyone else for the democrat party would easily sweep this election.
Its going to be another 4 years of republicans.
Doesnt bother me really, I am quite moderate and both parties have their faults.
-
BT,
If the 2004 Ohio paper backups woudl have been checked, Kerry woudl be our president right now. Repubs sued to have them sealed. There is a paper backup of every e-vote. Repubs refused to allow them to be checked, after widespread allegations of cheating - remember, all the e-machines went out of order with kerry ahead in all polls - they came back on and bush had a giant lead - completely unexplainable.

Did she really declare victory? And, doesn't hse HAVE to win big in Indiana?

true i guess. but still if it was anyone besides kerry, it wouldnt have been that close.

I agree with everything, except that I'm very bothered by the Democrats' inability to get their shit together.
My wife somehow did not realize that I'm only supporting Obama in the primaries and only since Edwards dropped out.
I would've voted against Romney if he'd won on the Rethuglican side, unless, of course, he'd been up against Hillary.
-
EVERYBODY'S A POLITICIAN ! LOL !
;D ;D
you guys crack me up. thinking your know , thinking you matter, thinking you understand..
trust ME, 99.99999% of politicians want your vote and nothing else.
"look at his policy's" LOL !
;D

True.
We, the 'hoi polloi' will never really know what is going on.
Politicians run on the most extreme of egos. they care not for their constituents one bit.
-
Two of them will *aim* to screw us.
The third is there to hold serve until they can bring Romney back in '12.
I would have loved to see Romney win the nomination
The democrats have handed the presidency to mccain, by chosse two crappy candidates that will be battling for another month.
Obama will get the party nomination, but most clinton voeters have already said that they will vote for mccain, and give him the presidency
The democrats should have elected someone that could unite the party not separate it. I am a republican but i would vote for someone like lieberman
-
Yes...Joe Lieberman lives in my town, New Haven....he'd make a good pres.

i have personal experience working with congressmen. i was supposed to be a staffer in dc, but the guy i was directly under didnt get re elected because of ethics accusations (caught up in the abramoff deal)..
let me tell you
politicians want your vote ! they dont want to make change !
most of them have one key issue that they believe in. and then the rest of their stances are up for sale/ up to the polls
-
Yeah, candi.
I have often wondered why some politicians who are worth millions of dollars want an aggravating job of public office....gotta be ego or some other furthering of their personal gain

Most Whites will only vote for other Whites.
You're white, aren't you?

You're white, aren't you?
Yeah, but i would for someone like colin powell over almost anyone

Likely true, unfortunately.
I like Obama (not that I'd vote for him)...but I just think folks are gonna have an awfully hard time voting in an African American
-
Yeah, candi.

the rich ones are the ones who want change ! like arnold. he has no use for lobbyist moneys. he honestly wants to influence the government.
the poo' ones want the big money from lobby's.
this is why big oil is so powerful, they got the most money, to buy the most politicians, to get more money from tax breaks and bad environmental legislation, to use to buy more politciains, to get more money! vicious cycle
-
Yeah, but i would for someone like colin powell over almost anyone
Agree on Colin Powell
-
Yeah, but i would for someone like colin powell over almost anyone
There's hope for you, after all. ;)
-
joe biden/colin powell !!
but obama is good guy.
-
There's hope for you, after all. ;)
thanks ;D
-
Obama's biggest problem is that he refused to break from the party's "tax the rich more!" line.
Here's the problem with that:
He argues that Americans making over $200,000/year are 'rich'. Anyone who lives in CA knows that is BULL-SHIT. Making $200,000 doesn't make ya rich, it just means you're making decent money right now.
If Obama had taken more moderate positions on anything, he'd have a much more legitimate shot at the White House...assuming, of course, that the 13%-plus of voters who are Latino don't go to the polls still thinking that they are white. LOL
The bigger problem is that the candidates' positions are controlled by the Democratic party and that's why - race and gender aside - either one would lose in November.
-
Did any oiled up men in thongs come out to vote? Otherwise, why is this thread here?
;D

hussain can not win presidency in america simply because of one simple fact
he is BLACK ,,so no matter what democrats try to sell you it wont work ,,the affiliations of hussain with the reveren and other black rasisits will act against him in general election simply due to the fact america itself is racist but from the white twards the black more than from the black twards the white
everything hussain does is ok for democrats ,,he is like a black version of ted kenedy and jon kerry,,he is very good politician but it cant help because although he is half white ....his color on the outside is black and so is his affiliations (pay attention every time he mentions white and blacks and browns and yellows he will start with the wors blacks!
america is very very racist when it comes to the inside of the continent,,no american white will let a black control over him especially at the presidential level,,the moment it happen blakcs will win a control over white society and that will not happen in america atleast not in the forseen future
hussain is indeed a very good politician and puill the young nothingness genetation ,,especially the 50 cent generation of white young female whores with kid before 20 from 2 diff daddys and also the educated whores that do the whorish activity via sororitys in good universities and chearleading teams ,,
hussain as gh15 said before is NATIONAL SECURITY RISK FOR THE USA,,thus is is a big problem for the democratic party for many years to come,,240 although a clinton generation democrat will vote mccain if it comes to mccain at the end of the day simply because the white in america will never let the black control over them,,trust me its written in their blood,,the moment they let black president decide their destiny is the moment whites become secondary to everything black and not only to the rap influence that ruined society ,,
hussain will never be president ,,simply wrong color as sad as it is
-
I've already said I'm voting mccain because I love my guns.
All those times you've been rambling about all the shit (9-11, North Am Union etc.) the Reps have been doing for the past 8 years, you at least sounded like someone with a fair amount of intelligence when it comes to politics.
Guess I was wrong. In the end still a retarded hillbilly who will NOT let his vote depend on hundreds of issues the country is facing in the coming years, but rather the most impotrant one: " yessurrr I likes my gunnnn" :P
-

Exactly what I was thinking. Can take the man out of the trailer, but you can't take the trailer out of the man? I'm hoping he was joking. There'll be no War on Guns.

Very true...you are smart beyond your 18 yrs, candi.
Bloomberg ran for mayor NY.
Siad, "Vote for me...I have so much money...I will never take lobbyist money"...he did not...
Arnold ran for gove, said.."You all know me...I have done very well...will not take money for campaign...." well, he did take $ for campaign..
Oh well

Hilary just admitted she lent herself $6.4 million last month, to go along with the 5 mil she lent herself 2 months before. She won't talk about what she has lent herself THIS month so far.
Hilary's staff said the repubs woudl have an "october surprise" to use on obama... perhaps she knows something very damaging about obama that even she won't leak, but mccain will? The MSNBC pundits were shocked she'd use those words - chances are if there's some big story, they know it. hmmmm....

If she tries to drag this out until October...this would be the apex of her being disingenuous.
She'd so fracture the democratic party that she would destroy her political future.

maybe. unless it's something so damaging that specific evidence would be required pointing to her. The way the 3 pundits all stopped, took a breath, and gave each other 'the look'... I dunno.

I'm disappointed by the lack of shiny musclemen in this thread.

"Russert, Drudge and Chuck Todd have now said Obama is the nominee."
And they said Hildog cancelled all upcoming appearances and stuff.
-
If she tries to drag this out until October...this would be the apex of her being disingenuous.
100% correct.
She'd so fracture the democratic party that she would destroy her political future.
100% wrong.
-
No way... if she had something that damaging on him, she would have used it already.
Right.
At this point, she's not concerned about 'damage to the Party'. She cares only about taking Obama down with her.
-
the party won't give hilary any gas in 2012 or 2016 after all of this.
the media hates her now too.
And she'll be 64 or 68 by then, and looking older.
This is kinda her one chance to go get it. She's going to be a bored senator forever if she doesn't win it.
-
100% correct.
100% wrong.
I am just reiterating whatTim Russert said,,,what do I know?

She may disappear into ignominy
-

Granted, she will make plenty of cash between now and death, but assuming McCain wins this November - which is a virtual lock, at this point - I don't see Hillary going away between now and 2012. Even if the Party tried to dissuade her, she and Bill have absolute and unwavering control over at least 35% of the membership. And if the percentage of Latino voters increases, that number could creep higher.
I didn't get the feeling that the media liked her this election season, but despite their love affair with Obama, the Clintons have cruised to, what, 45-48% of the popular vote.
-
I think (as she is bloviating on TV as I type this) she will not only destroy her political future...she will also alienate her many fellow senators.

Oh yeah - many of her peers and now her biggest supporters are now publicly telling her to hang it up.
She won't be the same. She'll be a bitter john kerry from now on.
She'll still be a good senator, and she'll still be a millionaire consultant if/when she retires from politics. She will recover. It's just been her destiny since age 14 to become President, and an inexperienced orator is taking that from her.
Her iraq decision is what caused all of this. it gave obama the opening to be the 'alternative'. She just looks like part of the establishment, the war machine. and her lies didn't help either. In Bill Clinton's presidency, you didn't have youtube to capture those 'GOTCHA' moments when they lie.
-
but assuming McCain wins this November - which is a virtual lock, at this point
I don't see how you believe that.
how many out-of-work factory workers without health insurance are going to walk into a polling booth this fall and say "I think the republicans will help me find a job and get coverage"?
Zero.
If there are more out-of-work people now, than the margin of victory in 2004, Obama wins.
This isn't even counting the war - signals change elections historically.
This isn't even counting the age issue - Mccain has senile moments and they will come more often now.
This isn't even counting the recession - people vote dem when they're poor, historically.
This is just the unemployment vote - enough to sway things.
Besides, Hil picks the VP - say a wes clark or more likely Evan Bui - and all her backers go Obama.
-
I think (as she is bloviating on TV as I type this) she will not only destroy her political future...she will also alienate her many fellow senators.

One can only hope, but seriously, a large segment of the population has loved these people since 1992 and despite how much the pair has fucked America, PEOPLE STILL WORSHIP THEM.
It's a sickness, I swear to god, but I don't understand it.

who do you think did more to hurt the USA - Clinton or bush?
-
heath schuler just endorsed mrs clinton
-
Its nearly certain that it will be Obama vs McCain in the fall. Not sure what Hillary is trying to accomplish. She needed a bigger win in Indiana. I think we'll see the majority of superdelegates shift over before June 3rd.
Even though McCain isn't an ideal choice, its his election to loose this fall. If Obama was more of a moderate democrat, he could pull it off with his style and poise. Many people won't vote for him because when you look deeper into his policies, he's just too damn liberal! He'll probably increase taxes on everyone making over $150K/yr and vastly increase government programs and power. Remember, that is passed on to the next president too.
Sure, there will be a smaller % of people that won't vote for him because he's black (idiots) but his far left policies will be a larger issue. Whoever said he is the black Ted Kennedy is pretty much right on. The democrats needed to nominate a likeable moderate IMO (more like Bill Clinton).
Also, wait till the republicans get ahold of quotes from Obama's book, his wife's thesis and other relationships with far left individuals. Obama hasn't always preached togetherness. He struggled with his own identity for quite some time.
-
The dyke should drop out.

hilary is still hoping for a major crisis to make obama unelectable.
rev wright wasn't it, even if it's caused the coach to believe Wright is "the antichrist" as he put it.

Rob,
I'd be curious to know what this "October Surprise" that Hilary speaks of is. My understanding, and you know we've discussed this... is that there is an October surprise waiting for Hilary... one that just will not go away. Although, considering the fact that she's known about this for many years, it's hardly a surprise, ...but I'm sure it will be a surprise to many of her supporters.
-
i thought everyone knew she has a girlfriend ......
NT
I'm not referring to rumours circulating about her sexuality. I'm talking word shuffles. Get with the program.
Hell, I'm talking about robbing Peter to pay Paul. ;)

Sometimes I just crack myself up!
Those who know, ...know.
Those who don't, ...wish they did.
Everyone's gonna know in the fall!
-
who do you think did more to hurt the USA - Clinton or bush?
Tough question, especially given how short people's memories are.
Clinton set a lot of bad stuff in motion that will take us a few decades to recover from.
Bush set a lot of bad stuff in motion that will take us several decades to recover from.
So, overall, Bush was worse, but for most of our lifetimes, the damage is about equal.
-
rumors ? my buddy in DC witnessed it at Camp David.
hillary loves women....... :P
NT
I'm not talking about that.
Hell, I'm talking about robbing Peter to pay Paul!

shit, my mind was thinking lesbianism ! ;D

when I say "thinking cap", ...I'm not referring to a condom either, so get that thought out of your mind. ;D
