Title: What will Obama do in year 1 of his administration?
Post by: 240 is Back on May 18, 2008, 12:04:24 AM
I'm guessing a scaling back of forces from combat in iraq.
Increased attacks in Afghanistan on terror targets.

I'm guessing Osama bin Laden will be pronounced dead in an October surprise, as he is the ultimate useful patsy and they sure don't want Obama's attorney general interrogating him ;)

I think Obama will also start with a lot of fanfare, but the media will turn on him rather quickly the minute he gets "cross" with them or starts to act like an a-hole, which is required for the job.

I'm guessing there will be no negotiations with iran - high-level talks, but nothing he goes to face to face.

I'm guessing healthcare would stay the same, min wage would increase.  Obama would have a lot of power to change things because of a Dem congress.

I'm guessing Obama will investigate nothing of the Bush era - just let that sleeping dog lie.

What are your guesses for what his first year would be like?

He will sign a federal order to round up all the white women, put them in concentration camps and force them into giving free blow jobs to black males.

 ;D ;D ;D

Obama made so many promises in the last little while that he might wish a year had 30000 days in it.

Give Rev. Wright a position in his cabinet.  Start working on his class warfare campaign.  Get a dose of reality regarding his pulling 1 to 2 brigades a month from Iraq.  Probably start smoking again . . . .

LOL.

Especially @ the Reverend Wright one.

Obama is a bit too religious for my liking, so you never know. ;D

That's a tall order for someone who isn't anywhere near half of what Ron Paul is.

He's actually no more religious than your typical candidate.

You sure about that?

Raised in religious state schools, attended church services allhis life...

Yep.  I'm sure.  Punahou is a not a religious school.  I don't think he received much religious instruction at Occidental, Columbia, or Harvard either.

He has not attended church his entire life.  Someone posted an article on here a while back that talked about how (if I recall correctly) he was pretty much agnostic for some time.

Rev Wright and him were just best pals for 22 years in the sense of reach arounds then, haha.

1 article written by some no name with the name of Kyle-Anne Shiver is the evidence to support Obama is not religious?

If that is the case then it makes him even worse looking: hanging out with Rev Wright and working for religious Christian groups trying to pander votes.

No.  I didn't say he wasn't religious today.  I was addressing the contention that he has been in church his entire life.

I have doubts about the sincerity of his beliefs.  He has engaged in some twisted logic regarding religion.  I question whether he is playing up this religious side solely to win votes.  So to that extent, I agree with you.
