And it was sure worth it. $1500 and 3 days in Quebec with airfair and meals paid for.. It was fun, except for the liver kick, and the hammer fists that followed. Would have got more $ if I won,
Canada has free health care so Im not concerned with medical bills. the worst thing that has ever happened to me is a broken nose so far,

Its not legal In Ontario (where I live), so every time I fight I get to travel which makes it more fun. I especially love going to Quebec when the weather is nice, anyone who has been there knows what Im talking about.

Well, Since I have a wrestling background, I usually look for the takedown ASAP.
I wasnt intimidated really by this guy at the weigh in as he was wearing baggey shorts. But when He came into the cage he was wearing tight shorts and I saw how huge his thighs were. I knew it would be fukcing hard to take him down and it was. When I finally did I was already have gassed.

I've been to a good number of fights and even used to take photos for the promoters and had the honor to meet many of the top fighters and officials, and I have to admit that I've never met a better bunch of athletes.
Kind, humble, and courtious.
Have I just been fortunate in meeting the good guys, or is that how most of these fighters really are?

I would run more and drop a weight class.

My cardio was fine, see how much Energy you have left when you take a direct liver kick from a 220 lbs guy.
Also dropping a weight class does not necessarily improve cardio, infact it can do the opposite.

Yes , air fair, meals, three nights stay and 1500$ to show and another $1000 to win may not sound appealing to the high rollers like yourself, but to me thats a pretty good deal, considering how beautiful Quebec is and it was a holliday weekend here in Cananda.

check out the statisitcs of sever injury. Many sports pose far greater risk of death or serious injury than MMA.
A boxer gets hit in the head more in one fight than an average MMA fighter does in there entire career, plus in MMA there are no standing 8 counts that allow a fighter to regain compusure and take more punishment. That is a fact.
Yes there is risk serious injury but no more so than many other popular sports.

I never fought the Crow, It was the Mr Louasouix's promotion that I fought in, thats why he is there at the weigh in pics.
The Crow was cornering the guy I fought which was a bit intimidating I must say.
the Crow was a former UFC Middleweight number 1 contender, and I think he has the skills to get back into the title mix soon.
He is deffinatley light years ahead of me in MMA
This was only my second fight as a pro, my record is 1-1.

I am not a huge fan or follower of MMA, but do think you guys are skillful and very fit athletes.
I will also admit that MMA has a lot bigger a fan base then bodybuilding.
