Those days, I have quite a few relatives and friends who started training and asked me to come to the gym with them how to train properly. I hate this shit a lot because I know most of them will quit after a couple of weeks and they make me lose my time.
Anyway, by giving those people a really basic training with pretty light weights just so they can understand the exercises and to learn how to feel the muscle properly, I noticed than the women didn't complain ONCE during the "workout" and all the guys kept being pussies and complaining about how hard it is the whole time.
moral of the stories, women pwn most the guys when it comes to doing a little bit of hard work (if we can call a very basic training program with no real intensity "hard work"
discuss !

I never thought I would train with a woman, but I`ve been training with a chick for about a year and a half now.
She trains her ass off and is super intense.
Makes most guys in our gym look like complete pussies.
-
training with women is saved for after the gym
-
That`s one of the perks!! :)

A woman's pain threshold is 7 times that of a man's

well, let's wait some months before judging...

I have been training my woman since january and she never complained once, and she even asked me to do her a diet yesterday (I didn't really want that tho, because I don't want her to lose weight so her diet still has lot of proteins and carbs)

:-\

This is nonsense - in my experience it's been the exact opposite. I showed my wife how to do crunches properly instead of the lame sit-ups she'd been doing all wrong for years and she complained non-stop and just gave up after a few reps.
Okay, maybe that was a one-off but it's the only experience I have of this matter so I thought I'd add my two cents worth.

Pain threshold-birthing reasons...higher than men...yes
Training...Hell no

Most of them will quite - however, if a few stick to it, then you have done your duty! Such is the way in everything in life.
But I have found, from talking to many individuals, that it is pretty much the same for both men and women. It usually matters if they have the drive, discipline and desire to stick with it.

yeah that's how I think, if I can help a few people to get in shape then mission accomplished
a friend of mine just told me he wants to do a show all natural to get in good shape, I was pretty proud of him

Thats how 99% of women are.

Hmmm. Most women I see do some sort of circuit training or have a trainer with them. Not a lot of intensity there. There are a couple of exceptions, tho. As for guys, not a lot of intensity there, either. I see the same guys doing decline presses or preacher bench curls week after week with no improvement. And the small group of cardio guys, who always seem to be covered in sweat, year in year out, who can't seem to lose a pound!? ???
/not really a hard-core gym

With most of my female clients, I can kick their ass up and down the gym and have them near puking, and all they say is when they want their next appointment to be. I also have half a dozen guys who can't do anything more intense than leg extensions without puking.
In this case, women > men.

especially on leg day....women train legs and love it while most men skip legs completely
-
When I used to train with all guys, it was either their way of the highway.
I was taught how to properly squat, clean and press, deadlifts, pushups, pullups all the basics.
Oh, and no one wore gloves. Still have the callused hands to prove it.
Now, with that being said, Some men are not good with high reps that a bodypump or group power class(one hour weight lifting)
Calls for. Hitting all the major muscle groups for as long as 5 minutes non stop....Squats, back, chest, triceps, biceps, more legs(lunges and /or calf raises)shoulders, abs.... all done in one hour.
It is quite a change of pace from the gym floor.

Yes,she is 48 years old, looks about 28 years old, squats with 150 for an ass to the grass 10 reps, leg presses 5 plates a side for reps, culs 80 pounds for multiple sets of 10 reps.
We also do Giant-Sets,Tri-Sets,drop-sets,etc. etc. and she cranks out whatever torture I think up.
Only been training for a year and a half and makes the guys in my gym look like wusses.
Probably the exception to the rule, but she`s a serious hard trainer.

People, women or men, that have never trained before are going to complain, some more than others. Why? Because they really don't know what to expect, their not to the point where they can differenciate DOM with injuries, therefore what ever pain they might feel they might associate it with injury type pain. So what happends? They complain not really knowing what they are complaining about. Make sense?
