lol. Over the season United were the better team. Chelsea have ruined too many players' careers by buying them and never playing them and I'm just glad the bastards couldn't buy their way to the final  ;D

Besides that, I'm a huge United fan and so very biased  :)

I am glad United won also, just feel so sorry for Terry. It's a chick thing :D

Thanks  :) Yyou a United fan?

I am so happy right now. Last time they won it I was watching it with my dad, I was only 10, the treble winning year. I was crying when they won. I visited Old Trafford at the end of that season. Amazing.

Today I travelled across town to watch it with my dad and my younger brother who is now 10. Fantastic  :)

The tries on goal are MUCH too easy for the goalies to stop.

Increase the size of the goal and make the keepers' job more challenging.

Hah, funny joke.  It took 14 penalties to finish that match and only 2 saves (not 3, terry slipped and missed).  How long would you wish it to go for?

Was a great game. Im from Sunderland but I guess im an adopted manc as ive lived in Manchester for 13 years (I live in Denton now) and despite being a Sunderland fan it was great to see Man U beating Chelsea last night.

Penalties is a tough way to lose especially at sudden death but exciting to watch thats for sure.

as for the match chelsea was the better team, after man u scored they took over (specially the midfield). ferdinand and the serb played well tho...but chelsea was the stronger team.

FIFA/UEFA should limit the number of foreign players in the different teams, maybe maximum of 4 foreign players in each team. not that i think it will happen (too late for that+not sure EU law allows it)

Great game.  8)

I don't have any loyalty to either team (I'm a Celtic fan) but overall I'm glad Man Utd won as overall they've been the better team all season and I don't like the way Abramovich has come in and tried to buy silverware by flashing his cash. Drogba's a disgrace but I did feel a bit sorry for Terry and Anelka. Shame it has to end with penalties after such a good game - they should have made them play to the death!

I disagree BigJ.  I don't think it was a particularly great game.  Games between Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United rarely are.  These teams all play rather cagey football around each other.

I do agree about who should have won, though.

Have to admire Chelsea's spirit, aggression and physical fitness but the actual quality of football they produce for the money they've spent..is pretty awful.

im aware of the bosman ruling...im saying it is harming the development of local football talent (in the long run), altho for example the premier league is alot better than it was 20 years ago (because of the influx of alot of foreign players).

none of the teams has any soul left tho.

No doubt it is harming local talent.  There is a definite loss of English flavour to the teams thesedays.  I also feel that before the premier league became so foreign, there was a whole lot less diving and bullshit in the game.  I think Man United have a decent soul.  Much more so than 100% synthetic chelsea.

I may be wrong but im positive there was something implemented before the premiership started (late 80s I think) where the was a restriction as to how many foreign players you could sign or (play in a match) in a given season.

"Tévez has a distinctive burn mark from his right ear, down his neck to his chest. This occurred when he was ten months old while he was exploring his mother’s kitchen floor and he inadvertently pulled a kettle of boiling water over himself. This caused third-degree burns to the right side of his face, neck and chest and left him in intensive care for almost two months. Today, the scars are a highly visible feature of Tévez, who did not get them fixed because he was playing in a junior football team. He refused an offer from his then club, Boca Juniors, to have them cosmetically improved, saying that the scars were a part of who he was in the past and who he is today."

Every official source, tv program, book and interviews with Tevez himself says a form of the above, either he was having fun with you or you are lying. The fact it looks nothing like a knife cut and everything like a burn makes me believe the latter.

Well when me and him were Sky Diving this week, he told me on the descent that he was out with Princess Diana the night she crashed but he was the only one wearing a seatbelt, he ran from the scene but bared the scar of the force of the seatbelt for life but vowed to keep his secret from all but me.

I was only born in Stockport and there until I was a few months old. My dad was a United fan since he was young, so I supported them

That's often how it is. After Munich a lot of people all over the world starting rooting for United and this support was handed down from generation to generation.

Sure, there a few glory hunting idiots who embarass the club but it's United's massive global fanbase that makes Manchester United such a great club.

Anyway, you were born in greater Manchester so supporting a Manchester club hardly makes you a Surrey part-timer

The Munich plane crash certainly got me interested in Manchester United at age 6.  It's certainly a global team .... since I was born and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  The soccer teams in that region of Africa sucked. I used to watch Man United every Sunday on a black & white TV at that age.  They weren't winning much then .... it was all Liverpool back then with Sounness and Keegan!  But then everything changed for United when Alex Ferguson came over from Aberdeen.

I remember the days of Remi Moses, Ray Wilkins and Team Captain Brian Robson.  Gary Bailey was the keeper back then and I met him a few times in South Africa. Grobelaar was also the keeper at that time for Liverpool and he was from my tiny home city of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  My mother taught him in high school.  Small world,  huh?

I watched every United game through college too ... with the likes of Olsen from Denmark and a young kid called Ryan Giggs .....and Gorden Strathem from Scotland!  Good times!  Then we got Paul Ince from West Ham and we became a force in England!

And Schmeichel became my favorite 'Keeper of all time  ....he certainly was "The Terminator"!  He even looked like Gunter!

Thanks for the memories!

I was 6 years old?  We had useless soccer teams in Africa (and still do).

We got the Premier League every Sunday on our old black & white TV.  Since I had seen how United had to rebuild their entire team after the plane crash I started to follow them.  I've mentioned how far back I have followed them.

Meeting Gary Bailey at age 9 was a highlight for me.  Why am I a wanker for that?

Penalty kicks are the sissy way out.

Championships of real sports - like ice hockey - are played until there's only one team left standing.

Penalties are a lot like walking into a casino and putting your entire life savings on spin of the wheel.  Sure, you could take your life savings in there and grind away for an outcome but I wouldn't say that either way is definitively more "manly".

I watch quite a few different sports so it is always entertaining to read nonsense opinions from people who simply must express their chosen sport as the real sport.  Just to put things in perspective, if we must, a soccer game goes for 120 minutes before penalties occur.  That, as you know is twice as long as your standard ice hockey game.
