They put DDR machines in a high school's weight room several years ago for that very reason.

Yes, but to your average fat American, that's like running a fucking marathon.... :-\

I've got it and think its great for fat people who NEVER leave their sofa.  For anyone with any fitness whatsoever the only reason to get it is for the balancing stuff... which imo is actually very good.

To give you an example of my comments, check out http://www.wiiweightlossplan.com/

That guy started on wii release (or a while after, its been long enough, pal) and he has gone nowhere (13 pounds in over a year? haha).  Still posts on his blog like he's really fighting the good fight.

I know the "real" day one was over a year ago. But I feel like I'm practically starting over again, rather than looking back as the last year or so as a failure, I should instead look at this as starting out fresh and learning from my mistakes.

So looking at my twitter food and workout journal you'll see:

Oatmeal bar for breakfast, Smart Ones Spaghetti for lunch, chocolate cake (my weak point of the day, I didn't realize it until AFTER I ate it, but went ahead and put it in the journal cause I shouldn't LIE), and then a couple sandwiches for dinner.

I need to start cutting down on my diet pop though - I didn't update with that but I think I had 4 cans today, tomorrow I'm going to try to reduce that with 2 and drink more water. Maybe I should update whenever I drink stuff too.

I did put in a little over an hour tonight on the wii (even with a hurt shoulder) -
and then I weighed in at 257... which is terrible - but as I said, we're starting new again.

At what point does one say, "hmmm...this shit isn't working. Maybe I should try something different. Or better yet, maybe I should seek the help of someone with a fucking clue about proper nutrition"?

The funny thing, he really could lose weight playing Wii, IF he ate properly. Is he gonna get ripped? No. But he's just some fat loser, whose self esteem would shoot thru the roof, if he lost a few dozen pounds.

"
I'm going to try and get my twitter account visible here sometime in the next couple days... if you're been following it I have a lot of updates:

Breakfast
----------------------
1 can Diet Dr. Pepper
1 Oatmeal to go bar
1 multipurpose vitamin

Lunch
----------------------
Smart Ones Lasagna

Dinner
----------------------
2 Polish Sausages with mustard on whole wheat buns
cottage cheese (no fat)
1 can Diet Pepsi Max

Snacks
----------------------
Raisins
1 South Beach Diet protein bar

Other
----------------------
3 x 16oz water for 48 oz water today.

I'm trying to cut back on the pop I drink even though I drink diet. I was drinking 4-5 a day at one point - so I'm trying to keep myself to 2 for now and drink water throughout the rest of the day. Eventually I'll try to get it out all together.

No workout today - I think last night I re-aggravated my shoulder I hurt a couple weeks ago. We'll see how tomorrow fares.

I weighed in tonight at 256 lbs (1 pound down from yesterday)

Unbelievable tripe that website.  He's lost less weight in over a year than contestants on the biggest loser lose in the first week (all water).
