must have been around 94/95
still have a whole bunch wrapped in plastic.
I miss looking at the art work in marvel and image comics, back in the day
-
i bought 35 used comics the other day for about $5 :)
-
cool, from which series?
-
punisher war journal 8)
-
I never buy them anymore. If anything I pick up Mad magazine or something
-
I download them and buy the collected storylines ones they hit the shelves - rather than have 5 separate issues on one storyline.
Downloads help me weed out the crappy issues.

sounds like a pretty good strategy

Downloaded the whole civil war arc recently but it aint working. other than that I think the last thing i bought the the Batman Knightfall series in graphic novel format about 2 years ago as I lost the originals years ago.
-
since you download them what program do you use to view them?
-
September 17th 1981. "Epic"

Haven't bought a comic book since I was 12. But I used to love reading them and can't wait til my kids get old enough to read so I can take up the hobby again ;D

you never read comics before ?
what is a good comic book to read now?
-
Frank Millers stuff is good. Don't limit yourself to marvel and DC. There are plenty of independents who put out good stuff. Most dont use the Cape and tights formula.
Batman usually has good storylines...usually.
For marvel - Civil war arc was good. I have the DC52 comics but havent had time to read them. Spiderman sucks now.
Download Cdisplay and download a few comic packs off Piratebay/Demonoid. Read 'em - they're free.
-
I get mine for free (well, at least from DC Comics anyway) :D
But I actually bought some Marvel Comics a couple months ago....which was, like, the first time in years I actually purchased a comic.
-
Some dayas ago - Donald Duck.
-
Dragon #2 by Erik Larsen.....remember when all the comic book guys went to the other company with Rob Liefeild, McFarlane, Lee, Larsen ect ....thats when i stopped buying

yeah I remember that time it was around the time I quit to. Image Comics had some good animation.

Cool!
I have a lot of the Punisher War Zone series at home.
Nowadays, i only buy japanese manga, no comic books at all.
Dragon, i have that too. I also loved The Witchblade and from the same writer "Fathom".
Some of the best comic books existing are "Preacher" and "Sandman". A must read. Seriously. If you haven't read them, you miss a lot.

I think I used to pay either 2.50 or 3.25 one of the two. 6 bucks is too much.

The last comic I bought was an "Archies" comic back in 1979 (I was ten). More than anything else, I remember a lot of the comic book ads for Charles Atlas ("Oh, I wouldn't let it BOTHER you, little boy!"), GRIT Magazine, and Sea Monkeys.

I buy comics all the time, not alot maybe 3 or 4 a month but if I'm in the mall and I see one I think is cool it's mine and I usually make it to the comics shop once a month. I usually buy DC stuff but if something by marvel looks cool I'll get it. If it's got George Perez drawing it I'll usually get it, that guy is incredible.
