Variety of reasons, most common of which I'd say is just that all the veins and muscles popping is too much for some people. When I was younger I thought it was kind of disgusting. Now I think it looks awesome. I think a lot of it is to do with conditioning your mind to it

I do believe it would be in the best interest of this industry, to make the sport more appealing to the heterosexual community.
Afterall, it is the heterosexuals that make up the bulk of our society.
It is not rocket science; the more heterosexuals you can attract, the more money and exposure the sport will generate!
The industry must move forward. It must step outside its 'homo-centric' thinking!

The thong, oil, fake tan, butt cheek shaking etc is all about selling sex! And the buyers are the fags, queers, retards and losers!
The IFBB has a 'ready made market' for this type of overt sexuality.
Only until there is a change of thinking within the industry, I lament, the homo-eroticisation of the sport will continue!
Bottom line, the heterosexuals will continue to stay away in droves. They just do not want to be associated with what is just a 'gay-pornographic-circus'!

Do you guys ever think that maybe people don't like overly gigantic muscles to the point where they are repulsive? Do you admire anorexic people? People who are EXTREMLEY skinny? To a "normal" person they are repulsive. The same thing can happen at the opposite end of the spectrum. To much muscle will make people feel the same way.
I'm not trying to bash people who like the freak look, but why is it people are jealous if they don't like it. If the freak look was desirable to "normal" people, bb would be the ones you see in all the big time magazines and sexiest man list's. It's not, just deal with it.
