Love that track. Functional muscle is cool but I'd prefer the gymnast's upperbody as they have the function.. and often.. the size as well..

This is OOOOOOOOLD....Some Black guys where doing this shit like 10 or 15 years ago and they had competitions all over the country and even have traveled the world performing. Seems like the whites (late as ever) are now catching on.

Gymnasts have nice physiques which are noticeable without being disgusting!

i've met Kujo in real life a couple of times and he's extremely short (5 feet at the most). but nevertheless, his strength is amazing. and as far as Junior is concerned (the french black guy), Kujo owns him and his one-trick-pony ass.

Yeah Kujo is more versatile and probably better overall but I think Junior has a better planche.

as good as Junior is, whenever i see him i think 2 things:
1. this guy can't dance
2. his underdeveloped legs are a huge factor in the success of his strength feats
i agree that his planche is technically better, but his legs are practically non-existant.

Just go to Youtube or DailyMotion and type in Capoeira. You might even find them walking like that. But many of the moves are from Capoeira. As a matter of fact, that is where break-dancing came from.

Yeah I have heard that he had polio, hence the limp and little legs. Definitely makes the planches easier.
I have a friend that can do multiple one arm pull-ups on each arm (and with added weight held in the non pulling arm) and other pulling feats. He never works his legs, and also never wears shorts.

correct! one of the four from the Detours group with Elsewhere, Midus, and... i forget who the fourth guy is. strong as hell, but like junior i always thought his thing was more acrobatic than rhythmic.
for my money, bboy jun is the best at that style, though i'm more interested in liquid/animation.

he trains for a task. i'm sure if he gained size, he wouldn't be as good at dancing and then he'd be all pissed off.

Great stuff! Some of that footage appears to be shot at the Cirque Du Soleil training camp/center. My nephew was a Cirque performer in Mystere in Las Vegas for a couple of years and did some amazing back flips from pole to pole and climbing up walls effortless. Stuff that only a few years back would seem impossible.
We used to spend free time climbing the rock walls in Red Rock Canyon using only finger-tips to reach the top.
Not me though! I'd meet them at the top by walking around the other side or finding an easier route.
The young and in-shape human body can do amazing things and I continually see new stuff from each younger generation that confirms that and often wonder what's next a few years down the road. Anyone have an insight into what they'll be doing 10 years into the future?

Functional strength is always better than blown up oil-filled weak ass arms not being able to do anything.
