Just to correct The Beef, Steve Blechman's father owned Twinlab. In fact, Steve's father had not one, but two SETS of twins, hence the name Twinlab. When he passed away, there was a power struggle for control of the company and major squabbling amongst the siblings. The company was sold off and each of the children received a sizeable payout. Steve, being the only one of them who was a true bodybuilding fan, remained in the business.
I don't disagree with Beef's assessment of Steve's life. By all visible accounts, he is doing what he loves and earning a living (or burning through the inheritance) while doing it. In addition to his lovely house on Long Island, he has a very substantial home in Aspen. In fact, if I hadn't been so busy this winter, I would have accepted his invitation to join him on the slopes and share some hot cocoa!

Interesting. A little bit of history I was not aware of. I think MD gets a lot of flak around here, some of which is deserved (e.g., the ridiculous volume of ads in each issue), while some is not (e.g., bashing the editorial content of the magazine).
I just picked up an issue today for the first time in a while. I actually found it in Wal-Mart which is odd because I was expecting to have to go to Chapter's next door to pick it up since Wal-Mart had not carried it here for some time.

Muscular Development is everywhere! They sold them at the Canex in Meaford when I was training there, at the PX in Fort Bliss, Texas when we were there training for a month, and recently at the Canex in Waynewright, Alberta during 'Maple Guardian' (another month of training).
