Title: Bob Paris had his Youtube videos taken down...
Post by: columbusdude82 on May 28, 2008, 09:25:42 AM
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Bob Paris"

Every once in a while I watch Youtube clips of Bob Paris in the 84 and 88 (?) Olympias, because that is the physique I dream of having one day.

I couldn't find them on Youtube today, and that's the message I got.

Gay people should be more like him. I mean, who would have thought he was gay before he announced it publicly?

LMAO. you must be the biggest homo on this site. you spend all your time watching youtubes of men in thongs and looking at photos then attack bodybuilding as being gay and saying how gay it is to pose for men in a thong.

you a bundle of contradictions. you are a gay, no fucking doubt.

Same here, especially his 1984 routine.  I don't even see how YouTube would have complied given that Bob doesn't own the copyrights.  PM Kruszakus on YouTube...maybe he will upload the videos somewhere else.

That was a good book, another good insider book would be "Muscle: Confessions of an unlikely bodybuilder."  And I still want to read Flex's book

The confessions book is great, Flex's book is nowhere near it. Poorly written, like VERY poorly, and just not that interesting. Like one ghey section details how his wife sat with him at meals coaching him "you can do it, one more bite".

I am ashamed to confess that I actually spent money and ordered it from Amazon [I was young and foolish is my excuse]

Flex comes across intelligently in videos and I've talked with him before and I felt the same way.  Perhaps writing just isn't his thing.  Bob was also a very good speaker (one of the best ever amongst bodybuilders I would say) and it doesn't surprise me he would be a good writer.

Yeah, the author gets a tad overdramatic at time, but it's a good book by Fussel.  I'd love to see a movie for it!

I'm really not getting the part about Bob owning the copyrights to video clips from videos produced by Magna Media and Video 4.

No, that is why I bought it as well - thought I would get some great stories or something. It is just a poorly written book with really not much in it. Confessions is at least 20 times better - seriously. If you have the chance to like borrow Flex's book or get it cheap and easy read it - but I would not say go out of your way like I did.

If "behind the scenes"  means that someone high at Weider had  said, and I quote, "too busy f**king his wife to compete", in regards to why he compete in a show, then no. That was in a MUsclemag Interview he did back in 1999. Actually that interview was a lot more informative than his book.

His book only had a few gems. It mostly showed Flex to be a man who used his muscles to hide from his past...It actually gave a look into the man's mental state, more than anything esle.

I've never really got the whole Bob Paris thing. If you're talking aesthetics then I'd say Reeves, Zane , or Nubret. There is also no harm in looking at that stuff..I just found Earl's protestations that he was looking for 'Bob Paris with a woman' to be a little quaint.

Really? I don't know what shows are like ..never been to one.

Just build the body and have it for yourself and your nearest and dearest...If I looked like Reeves donning a g-string and hitting a school assembly hall for a bunch of middle-aged guys on plastic chairs..well, not my no1 priority bro.

somebody brought up the story in bob's book about girls saying he would look better without the muscles, the alan thicke video showed that plenty of chicks (except the fattest and ugliest girls on the show)  liked his muscles and i wanted to post it here

Wonder if he took them down to try to get you to buy his video on GMV:  http://www.probodybuildingdvds.com/mens-dvd-s-2/bob-paris-flawless-marvel-74.html (http://www.probodybuildingdvds.com/mens-dvd-s-2/bob-paris-flawless-marvel-74.html)

This is one of the only easy to find Bob Paris videos left online.
