I had the opportunity to participate with the Omega Force Strength Team this past weekend and would like to share what I do outside of lifting in my garage gym!
Enjoy!
So here are some videos from the June 1st Omega Force Strength Team Program at the Glasgow Highland Games Festival in Glasgow, Kentucky!

Seems like a bunch of fat boys, and I doubt they're the strongest "team" in the world, or even close to it.
What makes you think they are?
The Pudzianowski/Jarek Dymel team is without a doubt stronger.
Koklaievs training camp is stronger too.
Any Russian powerlifting camp pretty much is stronger.
The Gillinghams.
James Hendersons team.
Metal Militia.
Westside Barbell Club.
And lots of other "teams".
-
hey hedge, how about "great work guys" or something. i doubt bpgorilla is unaware of the existence of other top-level teams.
-
great vids man... keep up the hard work
PS a little dieting never hurt anyone those guys look like they ate 10 lbs of kfc b4 they competed Health > Bein Strong
-
How does one become "blessed" by the videos posted here? ???
Looks like you guys had fun. Thats all that matters.
-
Hedge, let me apologize. i didn't watch the videos before saying that.
"lifting for jesus"? man, wow. i mean, i need a "laughing so hard my balls hurt" emoticon, because i'm laughing so hard my balls hurt.
you want to make jesus happy, go do something useful. i doubt he's sitting there going "yeah, well, i was hoping you'd go out and help the needy, but i guess lifting a fucking log is pretty good."
-
BPGorilla does have a very entertaining youtube channel, though the whole lifting for god is laughable

Thanks for your thoughts MisterMagoo
I believe your opinion may just be the perspective you see it from.
Each feat of strength illustrates a point.
Have a great day!

I am glad you found the videos entertaining.
Strength ministry is more about spreading the gospel through feats of strength as illustrations.
Have a great day!

Another great Omega Force Feat of Strength!

I also have to admit you seem to be a really nice guy! lol

it's not nice, it's arrogance. he thinks he's got a direct channel to god and his lifting is testament to the lord almighty, so there's no need to let the angry comments from the peons get to him. it's a kind of patronizing arrogance you only find with the zealously religious.

Good point. He's an asshole ;D

i have many, many issues with religion, but i try to keep them from boiling over 99% of the time. what really chaps my ass is the guys who make sure they punctuate all of their sentences with "jesus". part of the ruse is that they hope people call them on it so they can act holier-than-thou and reinforce their self-image as ultra-pious.
you want to worship jesus, go for it. but don't plaster it all over the place. nothing looks dumber than someone who finishes a lift and says "praise god!" john bernor did that in his famous 720x5 beltless vid. sick lift, stupid proclamation at the end.

Why does it bother you guys so much??
This guy isn't even arguing or fighting back and you are just burning him to the ground.
While that isn't my flavor of faith, still great work with those performances.
I remember seeing a guy in middle school doing a similar thing about not doing drugs. He did one he called "breaking the chains of addiction" where he wrapped some chain around each hand and then across his back and then he snapped it by doing like a cable cross kinda motion.
It may have been corny but look at it this way, the guy was getting paid to do something he loved and was spreading a positive message at the same time. I doubt that it actually kept any body from doing drugs but it still is something cool I remember all these years later.

he chose to come on here and proselytize, he can deal with the reaction. it's not like someone went "hey, he's got a WWJD bracelet, let's get 'im!!" there are plenty of religious folk on this board that we don't go after.
let me ask you, if i posted videos that were prefaced with "I lift in order to prove that man evolved and god is an illusion!!" and after every set i stood up and said "one more step to erasing religion!!" wouldn't i look like a total flaming toolbox?

This is an Omega Force classic event/feat which is modeled after the Husafell Stone from the World's Strongest Man competition!

I am not interested in a debate, but please don't label me when I was being polite.
If if 2 people disagree they can do so in peace.
No patronizing, just sincerity and have a great day!

Each of the feats of strength make a point, and yes if you so choose to stand up say whatever after a lift...thats fine.
Freedom of Speech.
I saw your videos on your youtube site. Interesting thoughts and ideas.
You have some strong RAW lifts.
Congrats on winnning the bench contest here and no I am NOT trying to kill you with kindness, I am being polite and there is a big difference.
In this situation it means I am showing you respect as a person.

hate to break it to you. but god dosen't exist, and the people in these videos were the most steriotypical rednecks ive ever seen/heard.
-
Ok, call me a fatalist, but who cares what the people with negative comments are saying? Shit, its a group of people getting together, obviously having a good time, and not breaking any laws. Let them think they are the strongest, because honestly in their worlds with the people they've met, they probably are some of the strongest people they've ever met. Who cares?
I personally don't like ANYONE trying to shove religious bullshit down my throat, but as a "Northerner" from rural Missouri living in the deep south and as someone who's lived in Kentucky, has had family in Tennessee, and who has lived in Ohio, and now living where I do, there are a whole lot of people out there who get off on the Jesus and strength thing. As far as I'm concerned, I just don't give a shit. Its not worth making fun of them or trying to point out where they may be wrong because they won't listen and all they are going to do is present circular arguments that in their mind prove themselves right, but honestly, in my experience, just end up with me getting pissed off------over something stupid.
If you want to really do something, go to Ohio, or Tennesee, or Kentucky where these guys are "performing" and lift more than they do. Hold the crosses for a minut longer, throw the big stone around, prove it with actions. Thats the only way that you'll change anything with them or the Jesus Freaks supporting them.
Otherwise you are just wasting your time. Its a difference of opinion you won't change.
I personally shake my head at what they say, but still watch the "shows of strength" because they are entertaining. I get a good laugh out of them.
