Title: Signs of aging bodybuilder
Post by: dantelis on June 06, 2008, 12:05:14 PM
Seeing the pictures of this bodybuilder, who looked quite good when he won the Mr. USA contest in the early 80s compared to his look now at 51, really shows you how much less you can accomplish in bodybuilding at a later age.  He is really lean at 51, but appears to lack much size compared to what he had in his 20s.

Wonder if he is just not juicing now or if his testosterone production has just dropped off that dramatically in 25 years (not uncommon, since test drops off quite a lot after age 40)?

sigh, no one can ever win here at getbig. If a pro retires and gets smaller, people hate on him. If he retires and stays huge, people still hate on him...

I am not "hating on him," just raising the topic for discussion.  It is rare for a bodybuilder to look as good at 50 as he did in his 20s.  It is just interesting to see the difference in his physique now, when he is still training for competition, from when he was a Mr. USA at 26.

I agree with others, for 51, he looks good.
