What was it about?
Supposedly 'based on a true story'. ::) Two young lovers leave a party to go spend the night at his parents' summer home, which looks like nothing more than an average, though somewhat isolated residence in the semi-rural South. At 4am, there's a knock at the door.
"Is Tamara here?" asks a young woman.
They'd opened the door to her with very little hesitation. When they tell her she has the wrong house, she asks, "Are you sure?" They tell her that they are certain that no Tamara lives there and the girl says "See you later" and walks off.
A short time later, Liv Tyler's character, Kristen, notes that she's out of cigarettes and her boyfriend decides to drive back to town to get some. She doesn't want him to go, but he insists on taking the drive to clear his head. It was supposed to have been a romantic getaway celebration, but she'd rejected his request of marriage at the party, so that's supposed to be the justification for his leaving her there alone.
When he's been gone about 20 minutes, there's another knock on the door. "Is Tamara here?"
"You already came by here."
Understandably creeped out, Kristen calls James on the house phone, because her cell was dead. She asks him to stay on the phone with her until he gets back...
...and then the phone goes dead.

well it certainly sounds good, lol
Would it be considered a horror or a thriller? Im a huge horror buff...

Thanks! I wrote that little synopsis. The reviews were mixed.
It starts off slowly (excrutiatingly so) and at the risk of spoiling it for anyone, you *will* be disappointed by the ending...there is no escaping that fact.
It's intended to be a terror thriller - there are some decent moments of suspense, but no supernatural elements - and I think you'll be impressed by the effective use of old-time country music played on an old record player, something that's far creepier than it sounds.
There was one legitimate 5-star scream moment, but then just a small handful of 2s and 3s. I like the creepiness of the sack mask.
I bought into the hype (something I didn't do when Blair Witch Project came out) of this film and even after being disappointed by the experience, I'm still interested. The director is just 30 years old and although this one wasn't great, it was a solid first effort.

Yes we do give a fuck. It's a movie review and if you don't like it, don't post here. Next time you troll the E looking for a fight you will be banned.

I knew it... god damnit, and the worse thing is my wife is oblivious to all the right "feelings" when you need to look at a trailer with critical eyes and say... THAT movie is deffianlty shit...
She looks at the trailer and says... It's scary as fuck let's see it ;)
And it's so goddamn hard to convince her differnetly,
Me: Look honey... read the reviews on the net, 1000 people say it's god damn crap!!!!! You still want to see it right?
She: Yes maybe a million of people were wrong ::)
Me: But... but... :'( :'( :'( :'(
