Title: Ebert nails the getbig.com mentality in his review of "Bigger, Stronger, Faster"
Post by: mwbbuilder on June 09, 2008, 07:49:59 AM
Those who cannot be too thin or too muscular are attracted to opposite extremes, but use the same reasoning: By pursuing an ideal that is almost unattainable and may be dangerous to their health, they believe they will be admired, successful, the object of envy.

It takes someone outside "our" world to diagnosis our neurosis.

Neurosis!? Bah. I prefer to think of it as a pathology.

Ha ha.

"We" look right past and truth in his words and go directly after his physical appearance.

Proves the point beautifully.

Of course we see the messenger being attacked ( his wt) rather than deal with the reality of what he is talking about.
I stopped getting in BB contests 13 yrs ago and in that time have enjoyed a more productive and happy life.
As Ebert points out , it is the EXTREMES many hardcore types are resorting to.
A moderate path for a decent looking yet healthy physique is far better for one's OVERALL well being.
If you give your all to the GODS of bodybuilding, you will end up empty and with regrets.
Moderation is the key my friends.
