Title: why do people think that because we train, we like to lift things
Post by: Stavios on June 10, 2008, 08:33:29 AM
Yesterday I went to the store to buy an air conditionner for my bedroom and those things are not super heavy but still heavy enough that usually when you buy it the guys from that store bring the box outside for you and put it in your car.

so I bought the damn thing, and then the saleman say: So I guess you don't need someone to bring it to your car, thanks and have a nice day !

 ???

I told him to fuck off and call me someone to take it to my car, why would I want to bring it myself anyway  ??? it was fucking hot yesterday and it was pissing me off just to get out of the house to get that damn air conditionner

Needing AC on a hot day is gayer than not carrying it out yourself.

Agreed. Once you start lifting, also expect your friends and their friends to call you on sundays to ask for a helping hand when they need to move their fuckin' piano.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA Oh brother you must be a MMMMONSTERRRRR, "Stavios" ::)

I bet you went to the store wearing a small t-shirt (with the sleeves probably cut off hahahahaha) that says something like "The cops pulled me over for carrying these guns"..... all that to show off your epic 8 inch deadly pythons hahahahahhaaaa

You probably walked around the store flexing and posing with the most advanced case of ILS ever, and looking at yourself in every reflective surface and blowing yourself kisses ::)

That manager must have been laughing so hard when you walked out hahahahahaaaa

Stavios = StaviOWNED!!!!!!!!!!!

I already helped 3 friends moving out this spring  :-\

what sucks is: I actually hate to ask people for help, I always do things on my own

but when someone ask me something, I never say no

I think you are taking this idea way too personal. Let me explain the dynamic.

A fragile old lady is always going to be offered more help with her stuff becuase she appears weak and fragile.
A strong looking guy is going to get less offers for help as they look more capable and don't need it.
Having said that, a store should help any customer get thier bulky item safely loaed into their vehicle.

Overall it is better to be viewed as strong and capable then weak and helpless.

it's not really the temperature than bother me, but more the mix of the hot temperature PLUS the fucking humidity

you sweat all day long, clothed are all sticky... it sucks

the best temperature for me is a dry 16-17 degree celcius, perfect temperature

that's why I like spring a lot and also the beggining of the Fall

Totally. Stavios was a paying customer.

I've had that a couple of times and I don't even look 'strong and muscular', just they know I train/own gym. Some male outweighing me by 100lbs and a whole foot taller would freely say "hahah, you're into lifting weights, you got that covered"  ::)

I love when people say that.
Goes to show that my hard work
is paying off, and they assume that I'm
really strong, when I'm really not.  (Not for my size anyway).

It's like when I'm at the dog park,
and these mexicans dumbfucks don't have
thier pitbull on a leash, and I yell get you're fuckin
dog on a leash, and they look over, and say nothin
but get that dog on a leash.  Why, cause
I look like i'll crush em.

This one time, I was at the grocery store and I was wearing a tank top and the young female clerk asked how much I could bench. I told her my max was 550 using the basic exaggeration formula of: Actual Max X 2 -25. She then told me her brother could do 575. I made her do 15 price checks before asking her to double bag my groceries and then realizing I forgot my wallet.

Stavios, can you help me move a few things?

I'm sure the girl from the plant section was quite impressed with your assertive temperment and "just do it" attitude. She was probably totally checking you out as she loaded the AC into the back of your Kia. Tell us more about how you banged her after she set it up in your parents' basement for you.

I am studying something ICT-related and i swear to god everyone in my family that has a problem with anything that has some current flowing through it calls me up with the dumbest questions .
How do i attach a picture to my email? My computer crashed, can you come help me out? My cellphone doesn't work sometimes, can you take a look at it? Last week my grandfather came to me with a fifty year old radio, thinking i could fix in a heartbeat  ::)

I feel your pain. Family calling ONLY when they need something is the worst. You can pick your friends but not your family. Pretty much stuck with em  :-\
