Title: Mccain wants to give Exxon a $1.2 Billion Tax break, Obama doesn't.

(and keep in mind we'll be at $5 per gallon by end of summer, and Exxon does have record profits yet again)

The senate just killed a windfall tax on oil companies.  This would have applied to only the profits after funds used for researching alternative methods.

No one lets us drill, and no one lets us tax.    So enjoy your gas prices. 8)

Those were the exact words from Obama's mouth today as he and McCain traded economy barbs all day.

Yes, mccain wants to continue, and now grow (acc'ding to phil graham of his team) the oil company and other tax company breaks.

They Exxon executives need that money to buy the latest golf equipment and they're 30 foot yachts. They obviously earned it - it took some doing to get all the oil prices up.  ;D
