E.D. Hill got shitcanned this afternoon for reporting obama's fist tap with his wife and others is terrorist code.
-
Last week, Fox News’s E.D. Hill called a fist pound between Barack and Michelle Obama a “terrorist fist jab.” Following Hill’s remark, Media Matters launched a petition calling on Hill to apologize. TVNewser is reporting that Fox News has canceled America’s Pulse, the nightly news show anchored by Hill: “America’s Pulse anchored by E.D. Hill goes away, but Hill stays with the network in a capacity to be determined.” The cancellation comes just four days after Hill’s “terrorist fist jab” remark, although the network would not give the reason for its actions. Hill apologized for her remarks on her show today. Watch it:
-
People are catching on to fox news quickly. MSNBC just beat em this week in veiwers.

I saw that. Something like a 10,000 viewer bump on MSNBC, every time OReilly mentions them.
At some point, it has to stop being about his ego, and start being about running a business (seeing as they have admitted they are a right wing news org now).
-
Nice to see some semblance of effort to stop being a propaganda machine is being made.

2 years ago, OReilly admitted his job was to "even the playing field". He talked about how FOX is fair and balanced, by being the right to NBC's left.
Scott McClellan admitted that FOX would repeat the WH talking points daily.

hahahahaha... good, that was the dumbest thing from fox this month.
-
What a stupid lying bitch... LOL... she didn't mean to associate the word terrorist with obama... How fucking dumb does she think we are ::)

If you guys believe you have a left wing media you are seriously delusional.

I don't see it.
I think Fox News is just as corrupt as ever.
They've just decided to switch who they (Murdoch) is betting on.
There is absolutely no moral or integrity in that board room.
Some people may think it's cool that one person can have so much influence in how people thinks and votes.
But I just thinks it sucks – no matter what party is favored.
-
Have to give them some credit for dealing swiftly with the issue.
Some elements of Fox biased as far as the view of the host, but so are some of the other media stations and print media is far worse.
-
Keep dreaming boys..ur so deluded on this u have no idea....MSNBC is so far behind FOX. Its funny, I hate MSNBC but don't discount them as a news source, yet u lib douchbags hate Fox and completely discount them. They kicked everybodies ass last year. Why don't we wait until the overall numbers come out for 2008 before u media guru's ::)make such bold predictions.

So you're proud of the fact that more rubes watch Fox's propaganda broadcasts than anything else. No wonder there are so many Bush supporters out there.
Let's bust open a keg and celebrate!
-
Um...as opposed to MSNBC and the outright pandering for Obama. Decker I'm not doing this all day with u....
-
I saw the episode and I thought it was funny. Why Fox would cave to a bunch of tree huggers petition to get rid of her sucks

Are you saying numbers = accuracy, HH6?
-
Well she shouldn't have said it and based on how things are today they did the right thing. Plus, make the problem go away before it gets stupid.
-
I saw the episode and I thought it was funny. Why Fox would cave to a bunch of tree huggers petition to get rid of her sucks
because they'd like access to cover the election, nomination, etc.
Already, no dem candidate (except desperate hilary at last minute) will go on FOX news, and they refused to debate for them.
Calling obama a terror fist bump, could very well get them excluded from nomination and other events. Those press passes aren't automatic. There are a lot of moderates who are disgusted by things like calling obama's action with wife a 'terrorist fist bump' - it's entirely without merit.
-

I'm saying who is the most watched. Also if u think there are Fox producers and CNN/MSNBC producers ur wrong. These people bounce between networks..they follow better jobs and the cash. I've had 1 boss and 1 other close friend work for Fox as part of the training with Industry program we do. My boss worked for them during the 2003 invasion. I've worked with them on stories as well as CNN and NBC. I've had no problem with bias or bullshit. Some of their reporters suck, but thats an individul thing.

The Koran is the most read book in the world, no? It doesn't make it worth the paper it's written on. bush is the most hated man in the world, right? Is he the worst? McDonalds is the most popular food in America. Does that mean it's the best?
-
As long as people watch.....ur missing the point. People watch Fox news..sorry but thats the answer. Thats how they stay in business. Numbers equal commercial air time....
-
Um...as opposed to MSNBC and the outright pandering for Obama. Decker I'm not doing this all day with u....
Ok. But I should note that you are equating networks and viewers on the basis of prejudice and the only difference being the number of proponents on the conservative side. That's a type of relativism I won't engage in.
MSNBC is pandering outright for Obama. I'm sorry sir but I just don't buy that.
-
Last night during MSNBC's Potomac Primary coverage, Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann were discussing Barack Obama's speech. Matthews — who, in the past, has both cried over an Obama speech and compared him to Jesus — described exactly what happens to him when Obama speaks:
I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often.
Yeah.... ::)

Yeah.... ::)
Are you serious? Have you seen the fawning over St. McCain by MSNBC, Chris Matthews in particular, and the liberal media too?
Who do you think perpetuates this horse shit about McCain being a 'Maverick' who only speaks 'Straight Talk'?
Matthews has it bad for McCain: Chris Matthews to McCain: “You’re In My Heart”

Yeah...but we're talking about Fox news....nobody is havinbg nosebleeds of either of these guys. Matthews is orgasiming on tv and Obermann is ranting about O Reily

Rightfully so.

They absolutely are, Decker. They love the guy.

I suppose I would have to ask what does pandering mean?
B/c from where I'm sitting practically all of the liberla media gets wet spots when talking to or about john McCain--maverick...straight talk...independent streak...bullshit. It's almost obligatory in the liberal media to mention those talking points whenever mentioning McCain.
How does Obama stack up to that?

ahaha... Chris is gay for Obama :D

LOLOL... Look how embarrased Olbermann is. He leans away from Chris and says "steady"

News stations, all of them Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc are all guilty to some degree of being biased...the network stations to a larger degree, ABC, NBC & CBS, but they're all guilty to a degree...that's simply because these stations are run by humans, and opinions will naturally come out at some level.
That said, IMO, not a chance Fox is the most biased news organization out there...MSNBC and the 3 big networks have more times then I can count been guilty of making blatant false statements aimed at an agenda. Granted, Fox does at times seem to lean more right then others while CNN does lean a bit more left, but the other 4 mentioned are far, far worse.
As for E.D. Hill, one of the better news anchors out there. IMO, it's a shame people get worked up so easily these days over stupid things like this. But she's a good enough anchor IMO that a little bitching by a few will not ruin her...not by any means.
-

Of course not, ...it's her own stupid choices that will do that soon enough. terrorist fist bump? ::)

That is funny.
So typical of people who who are brain-dead to say such a mindless thing. It's like the little girls who passed out when they saw Michael Jackson in person, they both are incredibly naive and immature. Chris Mathews can have some really great moments only to be followed up with such dramatic B.S. statements like that one. Spare me, please.

mathews was a cop, in teh peace corps, and a washington speechwriter.
and he knows the shady shit bush has gotten away with for 7 years.
In Obama, he sees an inspirational speaker, a guy who wants to investigate bush admin for crimes, and someone who wants peace, not war. All three things speak to him.

I like this comment from the website you linked.
I’m a conservative that is NOT happy about McCain. I listened to Obama last night and we may not like what is coming but it is coming. This guy is positive, fun, energetic and compared with McCain there is no choice! I will vote for Obama knowing what we are going to get before I cast a vote for McCain! I am no longer a Republican and have no more loyalty to their candidate! They left me 8 years ago…

I just love hearing stuff like that... Conservatives voting Dem.
It reminds me that there is hope for America afterall. ;D

How does it make you feel knowing some Clinton supporters are endorsing McCain?

I had heard that. It was kind of inevitable considering the devisive campaign Clinton fought.
I had even heard that Monica Lewinsky was voting for McCain as well...
...seems a few years back... Clinton left a bad taste in her mouth. ;D

Fox does have some fine ass ho's.

Major difference between being overly flattering to a person, than telling bold faced fear mongering lies.
Everyone spins news, Fox goes past the point.
Popularity just shows aspects, not per se indicative of quality. Walmart is top retailer, can't say they have the nicest clothes. Porn sites are always the most popular sites, numerous in Alexa top 50, any veteran webmaster will tell you they are the easiest to get traffic to.
-
Too bad he didn't do something cool like throw up the Black Power fist. Fox News would have loved that!!
-
Despite Fox's bent leanings, I hope their ratings stay high, and ad money keeps rolling in. They, like zillions of others, utilize our islands tax's haven/avoidance policies, meaning we get a piece for..well..nothing really. Since I only want to discuss tax and not pay a cent myself - I'm all for Fox being a raging success.
Go Fox Go! ;D

You have a big problem past simple bias. Most of your "news" is either fluff intended to divert your attention or just plain fake. If you don't mind them treating you like a complete idiot tattoed with "Sheeple Power" well then Go Faux I guess :D

I hope you know I meant that lightheartedly. Fox is one of many thousands of worldwide companies that use us, wouldn't make a lick of difference to my financial life if they pulled, trust me.
And realistically, USA impacts us of course, but we are our own nation with business derived worldwide. It's Americans who would be sheep/idiots to believe it, as it impacts you guys the most. I know my national news extremely well, what little we muster up - and probably know more about US news that some Americans do.
Also, I don't even watch Fox tbh.

I found this amusing, perhaps it is just me:

Boy howdy, has it been an exciting week. Now that Michelle and Barack Obama have been exposed as Osama's lackeys due to their foolishly giving each other the terrorist fist jab so common in al-Qaeda and Hamas circles, we can finally rest easy, safe in the knowledge that this mole that the terrorists cleverly hid away in a Christian church for several decades will never see the inside of the White House.
Why the Obamas displayed this well-known terrorist secret handshake so publicly will probably never be known, until they confess under duress at Guantanamo of course, but best not to think about that too hard. Victory's on the march, after all. The Obamas are only the latest terror-sympathizing fifth columnists to be revealed to the world.
Just a few days before the Obamas shamelessly revealed their desire for never-ending jihad with a shocked American public, fellow terrorist Rachael Ray was caught red-handed wearing a Sharia-inspired scarf. The terrorists seems to be everywhere these days, what with their running for president and shilling for donutmongers.
But as long as we all make like Michelle Malkin and keep our eyes open, wary for the next foul scarf, we'll all be fine. What follows, then, are more signs of terrorist sympathies. Learn them. Know them. They just might save your life. Or your life. Or your life. Or YOURS!
Signs you might be a terrorist:
1) If you drink any sort of coffee with a name ending in "-ccino," you might be a terrorist.
2) If you plan on voting for fist-pounding terrorist sympathizer Barack Obama, you might be a terrorist.
3) If you live in San Francisco, you might be a terrorist.
4) If you think that even Michelle Malkin could find better things to do with her time than examine the fashion choices of Rachael Ray, you might be a terrorist.
5) If you think that Fox News' reporting of a fist pound as a terrorist fist jab makes them look shockingly, eye-poppingly, searingly stupid as opposed to making Barack Obama look like a terrorist, you might be a terrorist.
6) If you went out and bought one of those scarves the minute Dunkin Donuts pulled the ad, you might be a terrorist.
7) If you read Huffington Post, you might be a terrorist.
8 ) If you actually blog at Huffington Post, you are a terrorist. Report to Guantanamo for re-education.

Does Fox not give it a rest? The fake Muslim school report, the assasination comment, the "accidental" putting Osama Bin Laden name under his face, the terrorist fist jab, now we have his wife called his baby momma - issues they have had to apologize for. What will they do next I wonder ::)

Fox News calls 'Obama Baby Mama' graphic poor judgment
US cable network Fox News found itself in hot water this week after referring to Barack Obama's wife as "Obama's Baby Mama" and asking if a gesture the Obamas exchanged was a "terrorist fist jab."
A graphic with the words "Outraged Liberals: Stop Picking on Obama's Baby Mama!" displayed Wednesday during a Fox interview about whether Michelle Obama has been unfairly targeted by critics sparked outrage from political commentators and set the blogosphere humming.
"Where do you even start when criticizing Fox's slur? Do you try to explain that 'baby mama' is slang for the unmarried mother of a man's child, and not his wife, or even a girlfriend?" Joan Walsh wrote on Salon.com, which spotted the graphic.
A top Fox official said use of the graphic showed poor judgment.
"A producer on the program exercised poor judgment in using this chyron during the segment," Fox's Senior Vice President of Programming Bill Shine told Politico.com.1

Epic backfire on Fox, as other stations have picked it up and are slamming them.
Calling a 2 time Ivy League graduate lawyer, 2 children in wedlock - a baby momma - is not wise. I myself would take offense to that, and I'm a loser compared to her. That just got him a couple of female votes. :D
Fox being all obvious is really killing their credibilty. Before people might suspect they were nuts, now their repeated actions then apologies are proving it outright.

Fox being all obvious is really killing their credibilty.
They're desperately trying to demonize Obama. They tried via his preacher, and they're now trying via his wife.
I wish they'd attack HIM and talk about his good and bad areas. Calling his wife names and citing imaginary videotapes... wow... they're desperate.
