Title: Does anyone else here have trouble forcing themselves to do cardio? I fucking
Post by: Deicide on June 10, 2008, 09:27:37 PM
hate it...

Whereas I usually look forward to a good lifting session, cardio is never something I look at with pleasure.

Anyone share the sentiment?

Regular cardio blows donkey dong.

Try strongman events for cardio if you have the access to them.

I used to, because i would get out of bed, have a black coffee and then hop on the stationary bike for around 45 mins. Now i get up, have a black coffee and take the dog for a walk for the same amount of time. Way better than doing indoor cardio. I hate that shit...

deicide i always just walk when i do cardio. the key is a brisk pace and doing it for at least 45 minutes.

and YES, i cant fucking stand cardio ! its the most boring thing ever! i want to cry after about 30 mins ! LOL.. an ipod with soem of your favorite tunes will help, it helps me...ALSO, doing cardio indoors really blows, if you are outside walking to a place  and back, take a route withpeople and cars and scenery... it will go by super fast and be much less painful

Yes. Just walking at a brisk pace and normally for about 45-60 mins. That should be enough for anyone really...

I freakin hate cardio.... I hate it, hate it...

In the winter, there's no way in hell I am gonna go outside in the freakin snow and ice and sub-freezing temperatures to get to the indoor cardio area...

In the spring and summer, I do my cardio outdoors... there are some pretty scenic areas where I can go jogging or walking at a brisk pace...

But still I'd rather lift than do cardio!

And indoor cardio is the worst!

If there weren't smog everywhere here I would be more enthusiastic about it; that said, I do think it is necessary evil.

Doesn't everyone hate cardio  ???

A better question would be, who likes it? But then there would be no responses. ;D

Yup, first find something you like better, then the other thing is to do it regularly enough that it becomes easier to the point that you zone out. Daydream, watch TV, whateva but the time will pass when your higher efficiency/ease of exercise meets mental tune-out to more preferred realms-the opposite of hating every minute in other words.

Hating it is entirely counter-productive if the realization is there that it helps one's health; it's as decide has already decided, necessary. ;D

I do my cardio by riding my bicycle to work and back. 60-80 min a day depending on route.

Cup of coffee at home, ride to work, shower and breakfast at work.

Works fine.

There you have it, as i said start with the attitude readjustment rather than the old getbig standby hate.
