Title: The Hulk is Incredible!
Post by: stuntmovie on June 12, 2008, 08:03:42 PM
Saw the Hulk two times already and enjoyed it a lot.

First showing was at the World Premier at Universal Studios earlier this week and the second was last night - a private showing for the cast and crew.

Saw Big Lou on the GREEN CARPET - Yep! - Not "RED"! - getting his picture took with the major stars and a couple of the little people.

And before ya ask - "NO! He did not ask for $20 every time the  shutter snapped!"

Great movie , Great time! ANd I met some damn fine new people who will be coming up within the industry. I really wanted to meet Wall-E but he did not show up, but the G.I. Joe crew filled in very well. Great people in that one too.

Then last nite we attended the cast and crew showing in Hollywood and then tomarrow night (Friday) we are invited to one of the local theater chains to see it with the general public - the little people - I have been told by one of the major players in La La Land.

The rich actor guys and gals really live the life most of us can only dream about, but nonetheless - I'd rather be me. Some of these guys worry about where their limosine is but never want to leave the party until the very end. I think that most of them were just trying to impress me - the guy who arrived on the Harley.

Well, considering that he attended the private showing for "cast and crew", it should be pretty obvious.

Of course not. He only demands $20 from people who can't afford it.

i enjoyed it but i felt the hulk didn't seem to get any stronger or bigger as he got madder (major disappoinment in this). he did look a bit too asthetic, rather than his usual mass monster package he usually brings to the stage.

i think he's been on low carb for too long.

as restricted typed the end opens up major potential inter linked marvel movies for the future 8)

im praying for a world war hulk trilogy one day  :o 8) 8)

as far as i know they are making a wolverine film, a punisher, thor, cap america, ff3, xmen4, spiderman 4, daredevil 2,  does anyone else know of any more?

Glad you guys seemed to like it so far! We're sitting here this morning reading all the reviews and it looks good! Public relations people just called and offered their congratulations and "push through" recommendations.

You guys and gals who like interesting movies are gonna get blown away with AVATAR .... James Cameron's new and unreal spectacular currently in production. Check it out on imdb.com

LIFT .... Believe it or not , but I never was much of a Hulk fan even though other family members were cast in that TV show on numerous occasions which was probably the only times I watched it.

As far as the first major Hulk Hollywood production, I seem to recall enjoying it while eating a bag of $6.00 popcorn and a diet coke in one of the local theaters; but I'm not a hard guy to please if a movie is half-way decent. So I gotta answer ya with a , "Yea! I liked it!" but don't ask me what it was all about cause all I can remember about that original was a tank getting tossed across the screen and some buildings getting blown away in the desert.

While on this subject - I gotta tell you about two movies I actually hated and still wonder how they hell they got made in the first place ....

One I just saw earlier this week ...... DON'T MESS WITH ZOHAN   A total piece of crap as far as I am concerned. So bad, it's embarrassing.
I'm surprised that it's making money. They're probably taking the popcorn money.

The other one was FUNNY GAMES which was a total waste of good celluloid. The only good thing about that flick was that I came out of that theater hating the kid who played the "murderer" role, so that meant that that actor did one hell of a great job.

Last movie comment - I'm known around these part for complaining about the use of certain actors playing the parts of Superheros and totally believe that Super-heros gotta look like Super-heros, but the industry feels otherwise when movies like Superman and others make
humongous profits.

Looking forward to seeing G.I. Joe though.

i liked the first hulk, apart from the painfully boring 1 hour 40 odd mins eric bana of trying to hump jennifer connely.

they got his anger spot on, and the action scenes were really good, pity about the rest.

this hulk was much better though, dont know about a g.i.joe, i don't see how it can work unless its at least an r rating.

i hated transformers, and think the original cartoon movie was better.

How many of you who saw this Hulk movie realize that it was Stan Lee who drank the soda from the refrigerator with the Hulk-blood in it? And also what do you think happens to the "Sam Sterns" character who gets Abomination's blood on his head?

Here's a trivia question for ya .....

What scene did Stan Lee appear in in the Ironman flick?
Was it rehearsed or not?
Just what was it that he did?

Whom in this austacious group would like to be built like the Hulk?

Edward Norton was great as the hulk and Bill Hurt was awesome as General Ross. It was an awesome movie and i cant wait for the sequel and the avengers movie that should be out in a few years. Cant wait, its going to be awesome.

JohnnyV, I forgot all about Stan's role as Willie Lumpkin until I read the answer as submitted by Flex. Refresh my memory. What did he do in that scene?

Here's another Smartypants question for you Dumbpants guys - Name the movie in which Stan Lee had a brief scene along with Lou F. and what they did in that brief scene?

I wasn't on the set where Stan was similar to Mr Hefner but I think the director simply placed Mr Lee in front of those two babes and let him carry on a conversation without knowing "ironMan's" alter-ego would be tapping him on his shoulder. By the time he turned around, he was gone. I got a feeling that was not rehearsed.

Here's one more Smartypants trivia question - You'll probably know it right away JohnnyV ..... What character hopped along the walls in the President's office?

And, NO! It wasn't the Easter Bunny.

Hey! I think Lou did a good job in his small role as the security guard, but I still can't figure out why they spent so much money setting up that scene for Stan Lee to drink that tainted soda. Could it be possibly that he'll return as a Super Character or was it just an "inside-joke"?

Last thought - I hope that the forthcoming "GI Joe" is shot as seen through the eyes and mind of a child. Some half way decent writer wrote a two page "script" of his "through the mind of a child" approach and it was damn impressive.

I'll post it here if there is any interest .......

Stan Lee was the mailman in F4.

The scene that had Stan Lee and Lou together as security guards was the Hulk from 5 years ago I believe.

BTW-Lou was the "voice" of Hulk in this current Hulk movie. Just found that out today.

Ya, JohnnyV , that was Lou's voice. Good to see that they didn't forget the original green guy and it appears that he'll be lined up for future episodes. I don't recall the Hulk talking sensibly very much other than roaring pretty loud during the fight and chase scenes.

The Silver Surfer was mentioned above. I briefly held and manipulated the Silver Surfer's surfboard for some of the Mo Cap work in that SS movie. That was one hell of a big learning experience on my part.

Those Mo Cap people deserve a hell of a lot more credit than they ever get. It's unreal what they are able to put up there on that silver screen.

I'd do my best to HONOR them and their work but it's such a mystery to me, that it is difficult to offer any intelligent statement. I think we have a MoCap guy in this group who might be able to shed some light on the subject matter. The do deserve a lot of credit.

Just let me say that my hat goes off to those MoCap guys!

Yea, Keith, I recognized him (Mr. Gracie) right away but I never met him personally. I only met the son who is a friend of yours. Do they look similar or what? I immediately told Terry, "I know his son!", but for the life of me, I could recall his dad's name and I missed it on the closing credits.

Today - another darn movie day here in LA LA Land - we saw some Panda karate movie which I understand is also making tons of money these past couple of weeks.

Let's make a movie, Keith. I got a great story idea that everyone down here  thinks is great. One producer even gave me Final Cut for my Mac to rough draft a screen-play for submission to the Writer's Guild. How does that work:?

Another idea which ain't mine but belongs to one of the guys on here would also make one hell of a great movie.

Moose, I don't know about the Incredibles but  I think the Hulk will be back within 24 months along with a group of other Super-heros including each of the characters who got Hulk and Abomination blood on their persons in this latest version. Those characters include Stan Lee and the Doc whose name I forgot who was doing his best to find the Hulk cure.

Stan drank the tainted soda-pop and the doc had drops of Abomination's blood fall on his forehead which appeared to penetrate his skin. (I hate it when that happens!)

Anyone got a great idea on who or what type of Super-hero-character Stan Lee would make? Ditto for the doc.

Only, Have you seen them filming that Las Vegas Zombie movie around town yet? If "Uncle" has any contacts, let's get Zombie parts. I played that role great a couple of times. We'd be one hell of a great zombie team.

Avatar... with a 3D projector that is needed in the movie theaters, due for release December 18, 2009...

In director James Cameron's original script treatment of Avatar, a man tries to make his way as a miner by combining with an alien during an interplanetary war in which aliens can manifest themselves by possessing human bodies — avatars.[2]

When Avatar was titled "Project 880", a casting call was put out in June 2006 with a plot description provided, saying, "In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture."[3]

In December 2006, Cameron described Avatar as "a futuristic tale set on a planet 200 years hence... an old-fashioned jungle adventure with an environmental conscience... [that] aspires to a mythic level of storytelling."[4] The January 2007 press release described the film: "Avatar is also an emotional journey of redemption and revolution. It is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival," and "We're creating an entire world, a complete ecosystem of phantasmagorical plants and creatures, and a native people with a rich culture and language."[5]

Thanks, ROn! I thought that Mr Cameron would be sending the BOYZ after ya but I see that you got it off Wikipidia. But I'm surprised that some of that info is even on there. The vast majority of Hollywood producers want to keep their uncompleted project info completely secret or at least down to a minimum. I guess he must be releasing "teasers" but that probably won't be necessary with any movie that he makes and this one sounds like it's gonna be a Wooper.

Here's a Smarty Pants Trivia test for JohnnyV and any one else interested in the movies and the movie business.

How the fuck am I bashing his success you dick rider? It's yet another mass media produced vehicle to entice grown ass people to never let go of their childish hobbies such as comics and various other bum flufferies.
EXACTLY.  Just more idiocity for the sheep.  A real movie is There Will Be Blood, or The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

This summer has been by far THE WORST in terms of movies.  Luckily all of the good movies come out in the fall and winter, when the idiot masses have all gotten their fix on Will Ferrel and pointless comic book hero movies.  At least the morons do stay home then.

haven't seen it on the big screen...

just free at davidmovie.com & youku

I'd rather see it for free first before spending $40+ on a piece of shit movie.

After seeing it on the tiny small screen shot by a video recorder....it looks worthy enough of seeing on the big screen.

Did you guys notice Rickson Gracie had a small cameo in the movie? He was Bruce Banner's sensei. He actually slaps Bruce Banner in the face a few times. LOL.

It depends what you definate a 'good' or 'bad' movie.  These are not bad if you are looking for a depp, bloody style movie.  But I like adventure, comedy, or action, whereas I can go to the movies, and have a good time, not be knee deep in concentration.  Those type of movies, I can watch from home.
