hey guys
I don't know you guys ever had this but I notice that my abs are thick. They're hard but really thick. I was searching around the net for any suggestions or why this happens. On of the causes is from dead lifting and from squatting. which is one of the things that I never doing. No way , do I never miss doing sqats and deadlifts.
I do cardio for 15 minutes six days a week
I train abs twice a with hanging leg raises and cable crunches. the next session is crunches and leg raise.
anyone have thick mid- section from doing deads and squats??

anyone get thic mid-section/abs from deadlifting and squatting??
it seems to me that my mid section get thicker from doing deads and squats. After hearding other people talking about why they avol
d movements like deadlifts because of the stress it put on the midsections to balance that weight when you upright.
is there any way to keep the midsection small but still do these types of mmovements>>

More cardio, better diet..................th at whole thick waist theory from deads and squats is bullshit trust me.
Millions of guys do them and have no problems with their waists and this has been going on for eons.

maybe youre abs are just genetically predisposed to be thicker

Yes and also exercises that target the lower abs will make the mid section bigger.
Avoid training the lower abs and obliques directly... Discuss

I agree about no oblique training.

Hanging leg raises and similar yes...I have done alot of this and that section (around the belly button and below) is quite big. Now i only do weighted ab work with a rope and bodyweight crunches.

nope. it's a complete fallacy that deads and squats make your abs thicker, but yet training them doesn't.
abs, like any muscle, grow or shrink. this idea that you can do endless sets of crunches and ab work and it'll make your midsection SMALLER is like thinking you can do bicep/tricep supersets and it'll make your arms shrink.

Just a Myth as Magoo stated.
If this were true, i would have a 38" waist.
At my strongest i had a 30" waist and i tight V-taper.
Look at JOJ...
