During the first of five expeditions to Mongolia, Roy Chapman Andrews photographed this seven-foot-five-inch (2m 13cm) man in 1922 in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar—but that wasn’t the explorer’s biggest find. In an automobile caravan following the ancient routes of Genghis through the Gobi desert, Andrew’s party discovered one of the world’s richest dinosaur fossil fields, featured in the June 1933 and July 1996 issue of the GEOGRAPHIC.

“We ourselves are the ‘trail-breakers’ of motor transportation,” wrote Andrews. “Instead of thrilling with pride at the thought, I reflected sadly that we were violating the sanctity of the desert and destroying the mystery of Mongolia.”

This photograph was never published in the magazine.

Silverprint photo postcard shows giant Johan Aason at age 18. He is 8 feet, 9-1/4 inches tall and weighs 503 lbs, according to the handwriting in pencil on the back. Probably circa 1900.
Johan's mother moved to America in 1887 where her son was born later that same year. His mother was 7' 2" (220 cm).

According to Johan's patient record and his death certificate from Mendocino State Hospital, he measured 9' 2" (279 cm).

His mother was from Veggli, in Norway's Numedal valley where a small museum is honoring he and his mother with life-sized statues. Letters sent by John show he didn't care for his American name, John, and presented himself as Johan.

He was first buried in Mendocino, but was later moved to his final resting place in Montana.

 Alton's Gentle Giant 1918-1940

Robert Wadlow was one of history's largest humans standing 8' 11.1". Born and educated in Alton, Illinois, he was later buried there at age 22, weighing 490 pounds at the time of his passing.

In his youth, Robert had enjoyed good health despite an over-active pituitary gland. Large feet troubled him for many years. Having little sensation in his feet he did not feel any chafing until blisters formed. While making an appearance in Manistee, Michigan in July 1940, a fatal infection developed in one of these blisters. Despite blood transfusions and emergency surgery, Wadlow did not recover.

I read in an old guinness book of recors he was said to be 10 cubits.

People were much shorter then . they estimated it to be approx 6'10" still enormous especially back then.

Hell if i was this height 2000years ago id be a monster
