if I had to choose between the two, I'd buy MD...haven't bought a FLEX this century
-
not for a long time. I didn't know they still printed Flex and fuck those dipshits at MD... fucking douches. King Douche Romano, no thanks...

I haven't bought Flex since about 2000 and I've only ever bough MD once or twice in my life. Same with Musclemag.
I do however have every Flex magazine from January 1993 until 1999. So I was a big supporter of the "sport" in the 90's

Bodybuilding is much more than a sport its a way of life.
-
it's an artform
-
Does posting on Getbig counts for "supporting" the sport?
-
Who here still pays money for this crap?
Only if it's a special "Arnold issue". ;D
-
I sub to an Aussie bb mag called Hardcore Aussie Muscle. 8)
-
every single month ,,flex,MD & musclemag :)
I have a subsrcription to FLEX (a Christmas mresent from my wife), and I buy MuscleMag off the Rack.
As for MD, the last issue I bought of that was back in 2002. Prior to that, it was 1997, during the All-Natural Muscular Development days.
-
i picked one up yesterday. Occasionally interesting for owning material.

owning how? How do you use Flex to "own" people?
;D
you just know how desperate magazines like MD are if they are talking about "internet stuff" not in a wider context but down to
the individual.
-
MD talks about the boards nonstop. FLEX, not so much.
We used to cover the mags. now they cover us ;)
-

Yes, you can support the sport more by paying for gay sites, buying steroids from IFBB bodybuilders internet sites underground labs internet sites and get huuuuge and ripped with muscletech.
-
i buy both every month.....
flex has slowly declines sepecially after 2003....
i am seriously thinking of stop buying it and i have done so for years...
MD is acutally better i find all the steroid adverts and stuff a bit annoying
but it is a better magazine than flex
-
I can't believe you guys, who in their god damn minds wouldn't want to read the training adventures of Lee Haney and Rich Gaspari in the 80's?!? ???
Dammit we need to know over and over again that there was more camaraderie in the 70's as apposed to the 90's!
This is bodybuilding, this is Flex magazine!
-
saying that i did buy the issue of musclemag 2 months ago (first time) and 3/4 of the magazine was just ads and other useless crap. I only benefited from 2 pages from the whole magazine.
Internet owns all kind of fitness magazines period
-
Who here still pays money for this crap?
i do..makes to relaxed bathroom reading
-
I haven't bought a mag in years....I'll buy an olympia issue once in awhile if it catches my eye but I've skipped them last year. Last flex I bought was the one with jay on the cover after his first olympia win. I don't even remember the last md or muscemag I bought but I do like to flip through MM.
never bought a planet muscle and haven't bought a ironman in probably 3 years..

watching the glutes huh? :-X :-X :-X

Honestly, I used to buy flex magazine starting back in 1998 until 2003. the Thrill is no longer there. Every month, it seems like the magazine kept recycling stuffs that you already freaking know. they just put a different face on there to tell you the same freaking story. In fact, I got a lot more useful information from various sites these days. Why spend the cash. hahahaha
-
I actually had a subscription to Flex for a year.
I now go with 'The Economist', it just has more substance.

FLEX is crap, MD also.

I will agree somewhat. I have learned a few things training/diet wise from Flex. Not as much as I've learned from 'The Economist' though :)

lol..i'll usually read the research stuff in MD and flip thru valvolinos column...
as for the bbers..since i stopped paying attention after the 90s i dont recognize 95% of em...
most of em inferior genes to the 90s anyhow..which is why md airbrushes and enhances 99% of its pix :-\
-
why? Every issue is the same. Flex will have some muscle man in daisy dukes and sunglasses squatting 67 fake plates and telling us how it is "50% hard work, 49% MuscleTech, 1% genetics" and MD will have ghost written articles by pros on how to get "dinosauar legs" and convicted felons writing pseudo intellectual columns and let's not forget ths guy-
