okay so in cost of redemption he does this too!
Eats breakfast, goes to the gym, eat again and then he does cardio ???
wouldn't he just be burning off what he just ate?
-
yes its not a smart idea to do cardio after eating a meal with carbs in it. your just burning those carbs. you can eat and then do cardio as long as its just protein fat veggies or any combo of the three

Ehhh gotta disagree, if he's doing slow cardio he should be fine for burning fat. If he's not exerting enough effort to burn carbs the body will switch to burning fat instead since it's a more efficient source of fuel. I haven't seen his videos so dunno if that's what he's doing.

that seems to make since when you phrase it that way
BUT
insulin has a big effect on matebolism - fat metabolism specific.
carbs = insulin = no fat burn
i might be wrong though.. ive heard after 20 mins you burn fat...which never made any sense to me... maybe that is a rule that applies to doing cardio after eating carbs?

Well 20 minutes is a general rule of thumb, it can take some people a little longer while others shorter (closer to 10) to get into the fat burning mode. That's why most suggest doing at least 45 minutes of cardio. Going over 60 minutes in one session also isn't a good thing because then the body realizes ok now I need to start using a more readily available fuel source because the effort at that point requires it.

Interesting! so if it's slow your burning fat no matter what? btw, he is walking on the stepmill...
What is your take on empty stomach cardio?
